AN: First of all, this is meant to be read like a poem. Although I do admit it mightn't seem like it in places. Also there is a hint of shounen-ai. But it's only noticeable at the end. So you could completely ignore it if you wish. Oh, and the chapel I mention is here in New Zealand. It's really beautiful, I'd love to be married there someday. Please read and review to tell me what you think~ ^u^ I curious to know who you think everyone I mention is.
For those of you who follow my other story, I am working on it in my spare time. But I still have to touch up a few things before you can see it. ^^;
I passed the doors,
Took in a breath,
And marvelled at the dark old wood
and spectrum of light which fell through the high windows.
I'm glad he had found the countryside chapel for us.
I couldn't have asked for anything more.
A sea of eyes followed my tentative steps down the aisle.
No...
A lake,
Not a sea.
Too many disapproved for that.
Yet those that remained by our sides
Radiated happiness, love and understanding.
I glanced over at the man in place of my father.
I would have preferred for him to give me away,
But that was impossible…
My gaze wondered to the head of bouncing blue curls
bearing a basket of flowers which she let flutter through her fingers to the floor.
She was growing up before my eyes.
I wondered if she would miss my company,
As I would her's when we were gone.
A pair of glasses and brown locks were the next things I saw.
It had taken awhile for my beloved to decide on him as his best man,
It took even longer for him to man up and ask.
He really shouldn't have worried in the first place.
Finally
Passionate blue eyes locked with mine.
His fiery hair had been elegantly tied back.
It was a payback of sorts on my part.
I still think he,
With his hair and rose to match,
Would've looked better in white.
After all we'd been through,
At last we were together.
The love of my life extended his hand towards me.
I gave a soft smile to my escort.
The same was given in turn,
Before my fingers were reluctantly
allowed to reunite with my soon-to-be husband's.
He guided me to our positions in front of the alter.
Never once did our eyes leave the other from that point on.
A loose strand of hair was tucked behind my ear by his fingers,
Which then settled for caressing my cheek.
"Are you ready for this?"
I chuckled slightly at his concerned question.
"Of course, Jingūji. I love you, after all."
Ren's eyes softened as he chuckled with me.
"And I love you, Hijirikawa."
The Chaplin smiled at us fondly,
"Let's get started then, shall we."
"Ladies and Gentlemen,
We are gathered here today..."
