The lost mother wandered through the corridors, calling out for him….
Wondering where he was…
How could he have left her?
He couldn't be far away now….
She remembered his beautiful eyes that shone as they looked into hers…
What happened to him?
It seemed like years since she had last seen him….
Maybe it had been….
Maybe, she should just give up….
No, she had to go on….
After all, those other children had seemed so happy when she found them…..
He couldn't be dead…..
Could he?
The dark corridors made her feel scared and alone…..
But she had to persist…
He would be so happy to see his mother….
Wouldn't he?
As she wandered, she was unaware…..
A figure loomed over her…
She wasn't able to turn around….
The thing gripped her shoulders….
She couldn't scream….
Something held her mouth in place….
What was it?
Where was her son?
"You are a puppet."
"You are blind."
She was confused…...
She wasn't a puppet…..
Neither was she blind…..
She squinted but couldn't see anything in the darkness…..
"It's been so long."
Then, she recognized that voice….
"My son!"
She cried out in joy….
He was much older now, but that didn't matter…
"I don't have a mother."
Again, she was confused.
"I'm your mother."
"No, you are not."
"The others do not have mothers."
"I must not have a mother."
She was crying now…..
He didn't remember her….
Maybe she could make him remember….
She touched him…..
She held him…..
Still, he didn't recognize her…..
"I know no one but them."
"Kill them then!"
She was perishing…..
She was alone…
She was afraid…..
Whoever had taken her son and made him forget her would perish….
A dark shape flitted across her vision….
For just a second, it did…..
It was purple…..
"All those children said they saw a flash of purple before they came here."
Those other children didn't make him forget….
He did…..
The children were murdered…
"And so was my son."
"I won't be a wandering, helpless mother any longer….."
"I'm just a puppet….."
"I'm just Marionette…."
