Chapter 1: A Quick Walk Around The Town
Disclaimer: Unfortunately, I do not own "The Outsiders" or any of the Curtis' Gang. Sigh. The real owner of "The Outsiders" is my favorite author, the fabulous S.E. Hinton. I also do not make a profit from the stories that I write here on this site.
A/N: If you like it, love it, or even if you hate it, you know what to do. Tell me in a review. I would love it if you favored, followed, and/or if you gave me (a) suggestion(s). Thank you. :)
Third Person POV (September, 1965)
"I...Am...So..Board," Sodapop groaned, flopping dramatically onto the floor. It was his only day off this week, but instead of enjoying it he was stuck at home with Two-Bit with absolutely nothing to do.
"Watch Mickey then," Two-Bit suggested cheerfully.
Soda wrinkled his nose. "No thanks. How 'bout we go see Steve at the DX," Soda suggested.
"You want to go to work in the one day you don't work?" Two-Bit asked skeptically, cocking an eyebrow.
"Sure," Soda shrugged. "Whatever gets me outta the house quicker."

"Honey, I'm hooome," Two-Bit called at the same time Sodapop shouted, "Steeevie!"
Two-Bit grabbed a pack of Kools cigarettes and stuffed them in the pocket of his jacket, smiling.
"I ain't gettin' fired 'cause of you two idiots," Steve drawled, seemingly annoyed, but he was fighting a small smirk that was tugging at his lips. "Take it somewhere else."
"Oh fine, Stevie, we'll leave you alone." Soda sighed dramatically, dragging Two-Bit by the arm out the door.

"I bet that I can walk on my hands longer than you," Two-Bit challenged.
"No, I bet that I can walk on my hands longer than you," Sodapop challenged back.
Grinning, he got into his hands, throwing his legs up and began walking as Two-Bit did the same. After a few feet Soda fell, followed by Two-Bit. They both laughed hysterically and tried again, but they were laughing too hard and they fell over quickly.
Two-Bit eventually got bored of that too and walked up to a cute blond. He flipped her skirt after talking to her for a few minutes. Soda laughed as they blond smacked Two-Bit across the face.
"Smooth move, Two-Bit," Soda nodded, fake-serious.
"Take notes," Two-Bit noted smugly.
And then they heard the police sirens uh the distance. They watched helplessly as an old, fat, bitter and cranky cop got out of the car.
"Boys, you are under arrest for public disturbance. Place your hands behind your back," the cop ordered, his thick grey/white mustache wiggling fiercely as he talked, spitting slightly.
They were both placed in the back of the cop's car. They turned to face each other and laughed, holding their sides.
"My mom's gonna kill me," Soda managed to gasp out, but he couldn't bring himself to be worried, his mom could never stay mad at him. She didn't have an angry bone in her body to stay mad at her boys, Darrel Curtis Sr. included.
"That sure was fun." Sodapop agreed.
A/N: I can continue and do a short little reaction chapter, but this is probably it. Thanks guys, please review!
