Valkyrie had never expected to love anybody other then Fletcher. She and he spent time together, laughing and smiling, kissing and holding each other close. It had never occurred to her that anybody else would make her feel that way. But somebody had, and it confused her more than anything ever had before.

"S-stop that!" Valkyrie Cain said, her cheeks flushing pink.

"Aw, but darlin' you're so adorable." Billy-Ray Sanguine replied in his lazy drawl. That sickly sweet western drawl always made her insides melt. Strong arms wrapped gently around her torso.

Her cheeks just deepened in their pink color and she allowed herself to be pulled close to the Texan's warm chest. It was very warm. Like the big yellow Texas sun, Billy-Ray had said. Not that Valkyrie had any idea what that felt like. "B-but what if somebody sees us?"

"Nobody's gunna find us in here, Lil' darlin'." He said and kissed the top of her head. She smelled like flowers and fresh rain. The usual smell of Ireland, but it smelled pretty on the dark haired girl he'd borrowed for the afternoon.

"B-but, but-!" She began to protest, but Billy-Ray covered her mouth with his own and she immediately shut-up. His lips tasted like sunshine and a hint of something she guessed was alcohol. As he moved his lips gently against hers, all resistance melted and Valkyrie found herself kissing back.

He pulled away and flashed his white teeth at her. "Love you, Darlin'."

Valkyrie just leaned up for another kiss.
