Helcurt stared lazily out of the window. Outside thick snowflakes were falling slowly. Over night they had covered the village Martis' castle stood in like a white, soft blanket. He blinked slowly following the snowflakes until he heard a noise behind him. First he twisted nothing but his ears until he realized that those footsteps sounded just like Martis. At that he turned around and jumped towards his lovely king. "Where have you been?" He was just about to climb Martis as he leaned down, grinning widely. "I prepared a surprise for you." Helcurts tail started wiggling. A surprise! Just for him! Suddenly he was even more excited.

"Now, come." Martis started leading his cat like lover through the castle. It was decked out in red, green and golden colors. For once the hostile, cold environment had turned into a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. He would've loved to look at everything longer but Martis was walking rather quickly, helcurt almost had to run to catch up to him. Until they stopped in front of a large door. "Once upon a time you told me that you don't know what Christmas is." Helcurt nodded, not knowing what martis intended with such an irrelevant question. "Well," martis smiled softly, the lights reflecting in his eyes in an almost heavenly tone. "Christmas is about celebrating the friends and family you have. Its about taking a step back and simply spending time with each other. Its about forgetting the worries of this world for just a few days." The ashura king pushed the door open. Inside the room stood a pine tree, decorated with lights, shimmering spheres each reflecting the light in a whole new way and underneath on a blanket laid wrapped packages most tiny, though helcurt did spot two big ones. Surrounding the tree stood his friends. Cyclops, Gord, Thamuz, Balmond and even more! Had they all come to see him? They smiled at him, one more festive than the other. Helcurt looked up to Martis. "Now, now go and unwrap your presents everyone !" Helcurt jumped to him friends, tackling them with a big hug. "Thank you... Thank you..." He didn't know what else to say. Never had he felt more welcome, more wanted. "Merry Christmas everyone!!"
