These aren't her parents' real names.but here's my story. John and Cindy Fitzpatrick were the poorest and kindest of souls. They had had a daughter, Annie, only a month ago. They were very happy about this occasion, but sad as well. They had no money to feed their little girl. They loved her a lot, but thought it was best to send her to an orphanage. John would find a job, and instead of her starving, she would stay in the orphanage. He would earn enough money to be able to get her back, and then she would live a good life with them, as planned. They wouldn't move far from New York, but somewhere near a farm, because that was where John worked best. The couple decided to stay until little Annie was 1, because they wanted to stay with her as long as possible with out her having to starve. On her birthday, Cindy took of her necklace and put it around Annie's neck. She forced off a piece. Then she wrote a note and put it in Annie's pocket. She put her on the door step of the orphanage, and thought she would live a good life until they came back. Unfortunately, when they were packing, they lit a small fire to keep warm in the cold October breeze, and the fire burnt everything and they were trapped, they died. In their hearts, the only thing they wished was for Annie to have a good childhood.
