BEAST WARS THE ANIMATION
Based on the Legendary CGI Television Phenomena.
Disclaimer: Me no own Transformers. Me no own Beast Wars. Me Big Dinobot fan (all incarnations.)
(I'm ashamed to say I am not the first to think of a Beast Wars series set in modern-day Earth. However, this series is very loosely connected to the original. It's more like the various Transformers Anime that have popped up in recent years. A little need to know about this show. In this series the Autobots and Decepticons never left Cybertron, never visited Earth millions of years ago, none of the stuff from the G1 ever happened. That said, this is my Beast Wars story. However, I don't own Beast Wars or any characters involved in the transformers franchise. July 4, Declare your independence from Decepticon Tyranny.)
Prologue:
Cybertron. A planet located in the far reaches of space. On its metallic surface, life evolved in very different ways from ours. The inhabitants of Cybertron, whose name translates as "Transformers" in our language, are sentient machines, infused with energy souls known as Sparks and capable of altering their forms into that of vehicles and devices based on existing machines. For millions of years the two main factions of the race, the Autobots, noble warriors who preached peace and equality for all life, and the Decepticons, warriors who believed they were the ideal life-form and that all others should be subjugated to them, fought in an all out war over control of the planet. But then one day, the dark god Unicron appeared over Cybertron, seeking to destroy the Transformers' home-world. In desperation, the leaders of the two factions, Optimus Prime (Autobot) and Megatron (Decepticon), agreed to set aside their differences. They used the gift of their god Primus, the Matrix, and thus together vanquished Unicron forever. In this conflict, Megatron received an epiphany from the Matrix. He returned to his people, preaching of how a true perfect race could only be achieved through cooperation with their former enemies. Prime also returned to his people, reminding them of their ideals of equality and unity and how these applied even to Decepticons. Though the process proved difficult, Prime and Megatron managed to reunite the two races as one people. Although they still referred to themselves as Autobots or Decepticons, the warring clans soon realized they were all Transformers. All were one.
Alas, this did not remain the case. Some five hundred years ago, a great evolutionary change overtook Cybertron. From the Transformers of the past came two new races: the Maximals, born of the Autobots, and the Predicons, born of the Decepticons. With this evolution came many changes. The Transformers were now much smaller in size than their ancestors and also found themselves capable of new, faster and more complex Transformations. From this change arose new conflicts as the new leader of the Predicons, Magmatron, set out to revive his ancient predecessors' goals and destroy the Maximals. The Predicons set out on a rampage, attacking any and all Maximal villages in their wake. The deposed former leader of the Predicons, Trypredicus, manged to gather a small army of Predicon loyalists and joined his Maximal allies in fighting back against Magmatron. Together with the Maximal commander, Magnaboss, Trypredicus succeeded in overthrowing Magmatron and reclaiming his throne. Like their predecessors before them, Magnaboss and Trypredicus had a hard time restoring the peace. Luckily, five hundred years of conflict is easier to wipe away than three million.
Or is it?
