You were the only one I could trust.
I gave you my love.
My happiness.
My trust.
Then you came back with that girl holding your hands. She was a Greek camper. To make it even better, she was a daughter of Venus with a movie star father.
She was perfect. To you.
I stood outside on the shore, looking at the moon. It seemed to have lost its beauty, the luminescent glow replaced by a dull light.
"How stupid was I?" I muttered. I used to wonder how I got someone like you. Everyone saw you as a hero, but I saw you as my boyfriend. Mine.
"Can we do this tomorrow, Reyna?" Jason whispered. He winced when his foot stepped on a branch.
"You're such a wimp!" Reyna teased. They finally got to the clearing and sat on the smooth sand.
"Wow." Jason breathed. The moon was high and mighty, its reflection gleaming against the calm waters.
Jason held Reyna's hand, and they sat there, enjoying the simple scene before them.
After a fairly long silence, Reyna spoke her thought.
"What's going to happen to us, Grace?" she asked nervously.
Jason knew she was referring to the relationship, and hesitated to answer. He didn't know.
"What if you find someone- someone better than me and I don't know, forget me?"
he knew how he would answer this time.
He kissed the top of her forehead.
Reyna and Jason sitting in a tree, k-i-s-s-i-n-g.
"I will never forget you, Reyna." he said, smiling.
"You're my star. I would be lost without you.
Twinkle Twinkle little star, how I wonder what you are, Up above the world so high, like a diamond in the sky.
Reyna rolled her eyes. "That was the cheesiest thing I've ever heard." she pretended to gag.
Jason looked hurt. "Wow. Reyna." he sniffled.
"I didn't know you felt that way about my compliments."
she shoved him playfully. "Shut up, Grace." she laughed.
Reyna looked at Jason and Piper, holding hands, laughing.
She realized what a fool she was, actually believing that true love existed.
She still couldn't stop the pain that was eating her inside.
She replayed everything he ever said to her.
I love you.
Liar.
You are everything to me.
Liar.
You are a star.
I'm so lucky to have found you.
Reyna looked at Jason and felt tears trying to come out. She blinked them back rather forcefully.
You are anything but forgettable, Reyna.
Pants on fire.
~Honestly, this is the worst oneshot I've written, but I had to publish it. Ugh, I hate plot bunnies. Sometimes the storyline sucks but you have to put it up, no matter what.
