The was a legend on Lothal, one that only so few actually believed in but everyone across the galaxy has heard.

A Phantom was wandering through Lothal. A living ghost, a man that was half-alive.

No one could be certain how much of the myth was true but many knew he was real. Especially the ones that had been robbed by this supposed myth.

Very few had actually seen this "Phantom" because he always seemed to disappear before anyone could take a good look at him.

Many found the Phantoms talent to be interesting, even the Empire seemed intrigued by this ghost story but he always managed to slip right through their fingers.

However, no one knew the truth of The Phantom and the boy hidden beneath its mask.

Ezra Bridger soared across the yellow grass field as his speeder took him home from the boys daily afternoon stealing.

A breathing mask completely covered the lower half of the boy's face. The dark material of the mask stood out from the boys orange jumpsuit.

As the bike traveled through the empty fields, a communication tower was beginning to rise into view.

Ezra gently pulled the handles to a slow stop just in front of his tower.

As the boy slowly stepped down from his bike, his right hand twitched a bit as boots touched the ground.

After climbing the tall ladder, Ezra entered his tower.

The room was small with a shelf stack with helmets and a leather vest draped over what appeared to be a bed.

As the door closed behind him, Ezra slowly began to take off his mask.

With a low hiss, the mask became detached from the boys face, a small fog came from the inner breathing tubes before disappearing as the inner machine shut off.

As Ezra slowly breathed in the fresh air, something unexplainable began happening to him.

Transparent images began to phase in and out of Ezra's body, making him resemble a broken hologram.

With a hard thump, Ezra slammed his mask onto his desk, pain and fatigue reflected in the boy's eyes.

As the teen's body continued phasing, he staggered towards his bed.

With a heavy groan, Ezra landed flat on his back upon the mattress. After taking several deep breaths, the boy strained to open his eyes and reached for the vest the wall.

While his body continued phasing, Ezra strapped the grey vest onto his chest and pulled the attached hood over his thick locks. Lastly, a metal headband was placed across his forehead, connecting his temples with the material.

Reaching out with glitching arms, Ezra pressed buttons on a panel attached to the wall above his head that activated the machine inside the vest.

The vest and headband began to glow as an orange light began spreading across the boy's body. The soothing feeling coming from the vest put a stop to the erratic phasing.

With a sigh of relaxation, Ezra closed his eyes and let himself fall into a deep, peaceful slumber.

This was the true story of the Phantom.

A teenager who lived half of his life in eternal pain as the cells in his body were constantly torn apart and stitched back together.

While this did grant him the ability to become both intangible and invisible, to Ezra; it was a painful curse that he had to carry around for the rest of his life.

This is Ezra Bridger's story.
