Eos and I have been sitting in silence. Neither of us know what to write. I leaf through my copy of The Two Towers, hoping that inspiration will find us. Disgusted, I toss the book aside and it lands in front of Eos. The book is opened to Treebeard's lore of the entwives. Eos looks at me, her eyes shining with mischief.
"Are you thinking what I'm thinking?"
I burst into laughter, launching myself at the computer. "Wonderful idea!"
What was that?!
"Hullo there, Peregrin!" Meriadoc shouted to his friend. Pippin set down his axe next to the chopping block, wiping the sweat from his brow.
"Hullo Merry! Isn't this a lovely surprise! How are you my old friend?"
Merry smiled warmly, walking up to Pippin. "I'm just stopping by to visit is all. I heard that Gandalf was in the area and I though maybe you would like to know as well."
"Gandalf? Well, this is pleasant news. Would you like to come in for a bit of something to drink? I reckon it's just about time for Afternoon Tea."
Pippin clasped Merry on the back, leading him to the door of his hobbit hole. All at once the ground shook and there was a loud booming, like thunder. A big Hoom Hoom echoed in the hills. The two hobbits were thrown to the ground and they clutched at the grass in fear. When the earth stopped shaking they heard footsteps approach. Merry looked up at the familiar figure.
"What was that?" He asked.
Gandalf chuckled. "Did you not hear? The entwives have been found."

Quick Author's Note ~
Story was post RoTK (If you couldn't tell)
Thanks to Yachy (Why? Because she's Yachy - that's why), Daved (for making the innocent line 'Pippin clasped Merry on the back, leading him to the door of his hobbit hole.' sound just wrong...) and SayjinPride (for making this whole innocent ficlet sound wrong). Special thanks to Daved and Sayjin pride for always reading my work and telling me when it's crap. And a super mega thanks to Dominic Monaghan for delivering that line like no other.
End of the story quote? We don't need no stinking end of the story quote!
