Disclaimer: I don't own Naruto.

Rating: T-ish, I suppose. Some cursing and the implication of sex.

A/N: I've been having a blah week. Vignettes make me feel better, so here's another one. Please, enjoy. =)

The Whole of Her

Kiba's favorite part of Ino wasn't necessarily a body part. Yeah, she had a nice ass, and yeah, her tits were great, but Ino couldn't be defined by any one body part.

"Cop-out," Naruto said. "You can't say her personality. That's so lame."

Kiba shrugged. He couldn't arbitrarily choose one part over another. She was the sum of her parts; Ino was Ino simply for the fact that all of her together made her who she was.

"So if there was one body part of Ino's you didn't want missing or scarred, what would you chose?" Naruto persisted.

Well, he didn't think he would care if Ino lost a limb or came back scarred. He would love her just the same. She wouldn't change, only her shape. At this revelation, Naruto hissed in aggravation.

"C'mon, man! Why is she better than all other women? Why her?"

Kiba smirked. Ino was better than all the other women because she was the definition of womanhood. The epitome of it. No other woman alive or dead held a candle to Ino's femininity…or her sexuality.

"She's a great screw? That's it?" Naruto shook his head. "That's cold, dude."

It wasn't just the sex, the same as it wasn't just one body part. It was everything about her. Her eyes sparkled when she laughed. The confident flick of her hair over her shoulder. She could look at him and know about the shitty day he'd been having and then she'd do exactly what he needed to make him feel better. She could intuit his mood the moment it shifted; she could lift him out of depression or bring him down from utter elation…and how can this make any sense if you don't what it means?

"It's disgusting how devoted you are to her."

Devotion wasn't quite the word Kiba would use himself.

"So what word would you use?"

Hm. Good question. He didn't know, but whatever the word, it was deeper and more intense than 'devotion' could ever reach.

"Pfft. You're so weird when you talk about Ino."

'Weird' was a substitute for 'I don't understand,' Kiba knew. How could he explain to Naruto how whole he felt when he was with her, how all the facets of her brightened him, brought everything that was good and honest to the surface so that he could be better than he ever could possibly be without her? A single part couldn't do that; it had to be all of her.

A/N: If you think the dialogue is strange, I understand since I lifted the style from "Tuesdays with Morrie." I thought I try it out and see what it feels like. I may end up tweaking it or adding more to it sometime later, so you are forewarned. =)
