X day, XX year
I write this journal in the event that our experiment should succeed, and we need to have proper data with which to duplicate it, or, if it should fail, we will have easily destroyable evidence.
In a pure white hospital, a mother-to-be screamed in agony as she was rushed to her room.
These years have been long and hard, my brother working as a doctor to observe human growth, and myself a lowly pokémon researcher, for pokémon growth.
She squeezed her mother's hand in pain, as the doctor calmly instructed her.
Our efforts shall not be in vain, no; never shall we work in vain.
The white clad man congratulated her, proclaiming the child a girl.
With the money he has made, we were able to purchase a small research facility on an island, far from our current residence.
She clutched the child to her chest, sobbing, "This is my baby!"
Under aliases, of course, and wearing disguises so we shall be untraceable.
The doctor stepped outside for a moment, doubt and sorrow flooding his mind.
I have done all I can for the moment, a suitable pokémon was easy to obtain, I've chosen a vaporeon.
He walked back in, thinking not of the baby girl, but distracting his mind with anything he could.
All that we need to begin the experiment is at the island, except for the one we shall be testing:
The nursery workers would be in soon, he needed to hurry, "You must surely be in need of rest, I'll take her to get cleaned up."
A baby girl.
Without another word, the man took the child and exited the room.
With any luck, brother has her in his grasp as I'm writing this.
He walked through the halls unhindered, heading toward a closet in a deserted area of the hospital.
We decided it must be a girl, as the vaporeon is female.
Whence he was securely inside, he spread a sticky green substance on the baby's lips, and she was asleep instantly.
People called us insane for our ideas.
The doctor took off his coat and wrapped the child in it, putting the bundle gently in a duffle bag.
We'll show them, we'll show them all.
Then he was off again, rushing through the halls, "I have to go!"
If this succeeds, we will have created our own legend.
No explanation was given, if he paused now he was sure he would lose his nerve.
We'll have proven that it can be done.
The clear glass doors swung shut behind him.
The simple minds of humans will be opened to all the possibilities.
He made his way over to a car, sliding in on the driver's side and handing the bag to his journaling passenger.
But we must always look forward:
A mother screamed as she was told her baby couldn't be found.
To the light,
Frantic calls were made to the police as a single car left the parking lot.
To the dawn,
Sirens blared in the opposite direction of their course.
To the future.
Disclaimer! I don't own pokémon, trust me, it's for the best.
Anyhow, what'd you think? This chapter should be the only one like this, the rest will be normal-ish. If you liked it, please review because I'm not sure if I should continue with it.
