Pein looks out his looks out his bedroom window that over looks the village.
It is his village and he is god to all the villagers. The morning rain creates a nostalgic feeling for him.
"Nagato..." Konan says quietly, sitting up in their bed. The woman walks over to her partner, wrapping her arms gently around his body, her hands resting carefully on his exposed chest.
Konan shows loyalty only to him. It's been that way for awhile.
The man continues to stare at his village, he wants to create the perfect world. A world without pain.
But most importantly, a perfect world for Konan.
"Nagato, what's the matter?" Konan asks, resting her body against his back.
"Nothing." His voice is monotone. He places a hand over hers, squeezing it slightly, he hates how she worries for him. "I'm alright Konan."
He releases her hand, and she pulls away. Konan opens up the window Pein had been gazing out of, letting the rain in.
"Konan, What does the rain mean to you?" He asks her, placing his hands on her waist, pulling her closer to him.
"...It reminds me of us." She answers. Running her fingers over his chest.
"Why?" Kissing her forehead.
"...It's always been around us, from the moment we've met, I think the rain is kind of symbolic."
He grins slightly, pulling open the bathrobe she was wearing.
"What does the rain mean to you, Nagato?" She asks. Sliding the robe off her shoulders, letting it fall to the floor.
"You." He answers, kissing her lips softly as the pair move to the bed.
"Me?" She says, moaning slightly as he kisses her stomach.
"The rain is beautiful." He tells her, looking into her gray eyes. "The rain washes away the filth of the world."
Konan was confused at what he had said, and Pein could tell, he smiled.
"You wash the pain away, all of my sadness. Konan, you are my rain."
She was touched, he was not a man to say such sensitive things, he preferred to keep to himself, rarely opening up to anyone, let alone Konan.
He glances up at the clock on the wall and frowns.
"Madara is waiting." He told her, getting off the bed and putting on his cloak.
"Do you want me to go with you?" Konan asks, sitting up from the bed.
"It's not necessary." He told her as he made his way to the door.
"Nagato?" She called, causing him to stop and look at her. "You are my rain."
He smiled at her as he left the bedroom.
"And the world can't be perfect, without rain." He muttered to himself as he walked toward his office.
