At this exact time a new trainer just got to the hoenn region with his first pokemon cyndaquil.
He just arrived in New Bark town and asked for directions to the lab.
He just arrived at the lab and asked the professor. Hello is this where I go to get a pokedex.
The professor said Yes this is where you get your pokedex. He then gave the trainer a pokedex right as May walked in with her father.
Norman asked Hello professor Birch is this a new trainer.
Yes he is professor Birch said
Hello my name is Wolf the trainer said.
Hello my name is Norman do you have any friends to travel with you. Norman said.
No I do not have any friends. Wolf said
May desperate to go somewhere said. Could I travel with him?
Norman said. I don't know we just met him.
May said. But it would be good practice for when I go on my journey.
Norman said. Okay you go can go but Wolf if anything happens to her I will skin you alive.
Wolf undeterred said. I will not let anything happen to her I swear.

So that afternoon Wolf and May set out on there journey.
Along the way Wolf battled the gyms and may just followed excited that she was travelling all over the hoenn region.

Wolf was in the hoenn league semi finals against his opponent Shay.

Shays Gengar and Wolfs Metagross knocked each other out
They had one pokemon each remaining. May was cheering Wolf on louder than anyone in the stadium. Wolf sent out Typlosion while Shay sent out Feraligator.
Typlosion use earthquake Wolf said. Feraligator dodge and use hydro pump Shay said. Typlosion block it with flamethrower. The attacks cancelled each other out. Typlosion use brick break. Feraligator use focus punch. Typlosion's attack won out and scored a direct hit on Feraligator. Wolf said lets end this Typlosion use flare blitz. Shay said Feraligator wait for it and use hydro pump when it's close. Right when Typlosion got close Wolf said now! Typlosion jumped right before the hydro pump was fired and dodged it. Wolf said now use eruption combo. Typlosion used eruption and earthquake at the same time on Feraligator. Feraligator was just about out of energy when it started to glow blue. Shay said use hydro cannon Feraligator. Since it was at close range it knocked Typlosion out in one hit.
Later
May was helping comfort Wolf after his loss. She said Wolf you will do better next time. Wolf said May its time for you to go home and get your first pokemon I have to go train for awhile. Later they both got on ships May to the Hoenn region while Wolf got on a boat to the Sinnoh region. Before they separated Wolf told May make sure you find the one you love goodbye.
They both left on there boats to new adventures.
