Just some Blaise/Parvati drabbels because I've been obsessed with them for a while. Hope its somewhat decent (:
Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter, no matter how much I wish I did.
Worthwhile
She tries to stop feeling this way. She tells herself its not right, that he is just like any other Slytherin and will break her heart in the end. But she keeps hoping that it, whatever it is they're doing will end up lasting and won't just be another fling to him. That it will be worthwhile.
Public
He sneaks glances at her almost constantly when they're in the Great Hall. Or in Hogsmeade. Or anywhere in public actually. He sends secret smiles her way (or what counts as his smiles. He was never very emotional with his facial expresions) and sometimes winks just to get her all flustered. And even though it won't happen anytime soon, he likes to think maybe (eventually) they won't have to hide this and will be able to be together in public.
Ties
She hates looking at their ties. The colored fabric just reminds her that they're opposites and they have to hide this from their friends. That they have to pretend like they hate each other whenever they're not alone. So whenever they do finally get to be alone, she tries her best to get him to loosen his ties.
Differences
He could always tell the difference between her and her sister, even without looking at their ties. Parvati's face was more slender, and her nose was a little longer. Her lips puffed up a little more than Padma's and just looked more kissable. Blaise had never made the mistake of kissing the wrong twin. She was almost as smart as Padma, if not as smart, she just focused more on people than books. He always knew what differences made Parvati individual. Different. And he loved her for those little differences.
Eyes
Blaise never showed many emotions. Even when they were alone he was very reserved. Parvati supposed it was because his mother was such an amazing actress. She somehow managed to get men to fall in love with her even after all of her ex-husbands died of "mysterious" circumstances. But Parvati could always tell what Blaise was thinking from looking in his eyes. She knew it was corny, but because they were the only way his face betrayed his emotions, they expressed a lot. So whenever Alecto Carrow tortured her in front of the class, she looked into his eyes the entire time to see all the love and apology he couldn't express any other way.
Battle
He was forced from the school like all the other Slytherins. He stayed in the Hogs Head, until many of the Slytherins decided to go back and fight for the light side. As they were all running back towards Hogwarts, he prayed to anyone who was listening that Parvati was safe. He got back just in time to see her shoot a full body bind at Antonin Dolohov to save Thomas. He supposed the middle of the biggest battle in their life wasn't the best time to pull her close and whisper "I love you" for the first time.
P.S I read in an interview from J.K Rowling that the Slytherins came back partway through the Battle with reinforcements for the light side, so that was the version I used when writing this.
Anyway, hope you liked it! Reviews are awesome, but obviously not necessary. But they make me all happy inside :) Even if they're flames, they're better than nothing.
