Handsome Stranger

Hey all, another day late again, but its camping season and I was jotting this down by the campfire under a full moon with maybe just a glass or two of wine in my system...hope its not too trite, just me getting my poetry groove on. Its told from the perspective of a local girl spying Sam across the room.

Handsome stranger in this bar,

Looks like you've traveled very far.

Soulful eyes, wavy hair,

I'd like to take you out of here.

Just one night may not mean much,

But what you need is a woman's touch.

For your brother, too, we can find a friend,

And to his loneliness she'll be sure to tend.

To you, I don't know what one night may mean,

But of that love I'll forever dream.

There'd be no strings, no links, no chains,

And when it's over, you'd go away,

To disappear into the night,

And carry on with your wayward life.
