Tess always knows. She just likes to pretend.
Because it's easier to believe the lies than believe the truth.
She knew that her mom only cares about music
But she keeps dreaming that her mom loves her more than anything else in the world.
She knew that she is a good performer
but also that there are people better than her
that's why she destroys her competition
and when she can't destroy it she is best friends with it.
She knew that Shane wasn't for her
she just wanted to be sure he wasn't Mitchie's
so she kept telling the world that he loved her
she kept breaking Mitchie's heart
Tess knows that Nate is the one.
But she knows that it's too good to last.
She would break his heart by saying 'we are not good together'.
She would say goodbye because she knows that he deserves better.
For the first time Tess lies because of love
she lies to protect him
because she would never be able to give him what he deserves.
And even though the pain is destructive
she keeps telling herself that it's right
maybe her mind believes it
but she knows that you can't lie to your heart.
