Life Without Misaki is No Life At All

A/N: Okay... this is my first 'fanfic' if you want to call it that. It's just a random poem I made up while procrastinating for exams, which start in 2 days.... But ANYWAYS! Hope it's not TOO crap and that you guys like it. It is a poem written by Usagi for Misaki. Well, here it goes.

We are complete opposites.
If I was the darkness of the night,
you would be the light of day.
If I was the heat of summer,
you would be the coolness of winter.
If I was a raging forest fire,
you would be a calming stream of rain.
If I was destruction,
you would be preservation.
If I was disintegration,
you would be creation.
If I was the heat of the sun,
you would be the cool morning mist.
If I was a hard rock,
you would be a soft feather.
We are nothing alike,
and yet so similar.
One thing we share
is our love for each other.

Without you, my life would be empty.
I would be a meaningless blank sheet of paper.
My love for you defines who I am.
Your love for me makes me unique.
My love for you knows no bounds.

If my heart was a compass,
you'd be north.
If my heart was the music,
you'd be the lyrics.
If my heart was the sky,
you'd be the clouds.
If my heart was a sentence,
you'd be the full stop.
If my heart was a question,
you'd be the answer.
If my heart was a treasure chest,
you'd be the shimmering gold inside.
If my heart was an incomplete puzzle,
you'd be the final piece.
If my heart was a house,
you'd be home.

My love for you is a burning, consuming fire.
Without you, my life would be an endless pit of ink.
So please Misaki, love me and only me.
Forever.

Usami Akihiko

A/N: Thank you for reading my first ever 'fanfic'. I hope it didn't bore you to sleep.
My inspiration came from two main areas. Yin and Yang (not used completely accurately but the concept is there) and also the song 'If My Heart was a House' by Owl City. Please review. Your comments are greatly appreciated. I'm am very open to ANY constructive criticism. Thank you again for reading. May love find its way to you everyday. "To the world you are one person, but to one person you are the world."
EDIT: Since people are suggesting a second chapter, with either reactions to reading this or a reply poem... I'll consider it. I'll try my best to come up with something... possibly after my exams when I have more time. I'll probably come up with something. WATCH THIS SPACE! XD
