When the razors disappeared, they knew something was wrong.
All of the razors her mother had used to shave her legs were taken from the trash. Tomoki and their parents believed that she was using them. At night, muffled sobbing came from behind her bedroom door and they noticed that she wore long-sleeves at home. Maybe, if Yuu had talked to her, they would have known the truth.
Of course, they only watched her.
They could have stopped Tomoko from going to school that day, could have checked her book bag and found the razors.
Everyone wouldn't had to see her face on the news that afternoon.
