A/N Ah… oh god… this came out of… seemingly NOWHERE… I was just thinking about Kuro and Fai and it was like… what would have happened if Fai misjudged that jump he did in episode 16? Then I was all… fangirl-y and I squealed (earning a few stares from family) and wrote this XD

Disclaimer: Tsubasa Chronicles, Fai, Kurogane and Syaoran all belong to Clamp, I am making NO profit whatsoever on this fic!

Warnings- Shounen-ai (not yaoi, really), and maybe some cursing. I've only ever seen the English dub, so be prepared for differences, such as nicknames for Kuro-puu… but I'm pretty sure I know most of the Japanese ones.

Let's get on with it!

The two oldest men in their little group stood in the fighting ring. Syaoran stood off to the side, watching. Kurogane and Fai had advanced in the tournament, and were getting ready to begin their fight. The two exchanged words in the beginning, and Fai was getting Kurogane worked up. It was no surprise to Syaoran, Fai did it often. Of course he never failed in his never ending quest to piss off Kurogane.

Kurogane began to swing the provided sword, and Fai dodged every blow, laughing at Kurogane's frustrated expression.

"Would you fight me like a man, you bastard?!" Kurogane yelled, as Fai dodged again.

"I haven't got a problem with fighting you, but if I lose on purpose it might be painful… and if I win there's only one person left to fight…" Fai smirked at Syaoran, the only remaining fighter. Kurogane's temper flared, "Stupid mage, you think you can win against me?!"

Fai leaned backward, surprising Kurogane, and spoke as he jumped.

"But of course, Kuro-rin!"

Now, Fai had done a lot of jumping in his long lifetime, and he was good at math. Math was required for the spells he used with magic, so one would think that a lifetime of using magic would make Fai D. Flowright would be a flawless mathematician, right?

Of course, that would be the wrong assumption to make.

Fai mathematically figured that if he would jump at just the right time, he could glide right past Kurogane, successfully distracting him from any rules of this tournament, and Kurogane was a ninja. It's common knowledge that a ninja would not let an enemy get too close, so of course, Kurogane would move.

Fai just didn't expect to move with him…

The two bumped mid air, lips crashing together. They separated and hit the ground. Kurogane's back connected with the floor of the ring, and Fai landed right over him, their lips mashing together again, almost painfully. Syaoran's eyes widened as he watched the scene unfold. Kurogane pushed Fai off of him before sitting up, "WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING, YOU IDIOT MAGE?!"

"Oops! It looks like I got Kuro-pon mad again!" Fai bounced up, ran to the edge of the ring and leaped off, knowing that Kurogane would follow. Of course, the yell of "GET BACK HERE!" and the sound of heavy footsteps only re-affirmed his assumption.

Syaoran gasped as the gong that symbolized the end of the matches sounded loudly. Kurogane landed beside the blonde mage.

"What the hell? We never even exchanged any hits!"

"The match is over if you leave the ring," the brown haired teen explained.

"Uh-oh, my bad! I forgot about that rule!" Fai said happily, as he smiled his wide grin and walked away slowly, thinking happily about the accident that had just occurred.
