He sat patiently waiting for the Tardis to arrive. At least he had planned to be patient. Once he was up on the roof, he couldn't help but pace. When he heard the Tardis's engines as the ship began to materialize he felt his heart soar. He hadn't realized how much he missed the sounds of the Tardis. The ship seemed to take forever to rematerialize. When it finally did, he ran over and pushed open the doors. Rose stood by the control panel, still wearing the slightly disgruntled look she had when he left her, which had been a lifetime for him, but only a moment for her. He couldn't restrain the smile that spread across his face, and felt an over-whelming urge to wrap his arms around her. If he thought he had missed the Tardis, it was nothing compared to how much he had missed her.
"Miss me?" she asked casually, flashing him a quick smile. Her beautiful smile was enough to break the Doctor's self control. In a flash, he had his arms around her.
"Miss you?" he repeated softly. He leaned down and kissed her-a kiss of the joy of seeing her again, of the pain of being without her for so long, and of the love he felt for her, nearly since he had met her. She looked a little surprised when he broke it off.
"More than life itself." he answered her softly, gazing into the beautiful eyes he had missed so much. He leaned down again and her lips met his half way.
A/N Don't ask me what happened before this scene; I have no idea ;)
