Disclaimer: I do not own Black Knight or any of the characters associated therein.
"Zeke, we are but shadows. Thus we are the shadow cast by the light that is our lord."
The white rose, illuminated by the silvery moon, casts a black shadow. The shadow deceives the eye. The beautiful white rose tells no lies—everything it is, beauty and pain are both clear and open. The black shadow though…the outline of the thorns is lost in the shadows cast by the leaves and the beautiful bud that gives it life. It cannot exist without the luminous rose, so it conforms to the rose and the moon—doing as it is told and hiding what it is. I am but a shadow—the dark, unremarkable counterpart to my lord and lover.
