The Second Star to the Right

I look up to the sky,

From the back window of my car.

My gaze is moving, searching,

For that one special star.

The star that shines so bright, it shines for me and you.

The star Peter Pan came from

And he took Wendy to.

The Second Star to the Right,

That is the star I am talking about.

Some people don't think it is really there,

Some people really doubt.

But I know it is there,

I know it is real.

You may not believe,

But I can just feel.

I know because he came.

He came in through my window,

Very late one night.

He stood on the edge of my bed,

And I screamed with delight.

There he was! Peter Pan!

The boy of my dreams he came to MY house!

And he brought Tink!

He is holding his hand out,

He says, "I will teach you to fly!"

Tink shakes some fairy dust over me,

I am so happy I could cry.

I take Peter's hand and we're off!

Around my bedroom we soar!

Then we fly down the stairs,

And out the front door.

We fly to the sky,

In the dead of the night.

And I know where we're going!

The Second star to the right!

We flew all through Neverland,

We saw captain Hook and Mr. Smee.

We visited the Indians,

And with the mermaids we had tea.

We stopped by the fairies,

I met the fairy I made.

She was born by my first giggle,

Her name is Aronisade.

I know you probably don't believe me,

I have heard it a billion times before.

But Peter's real I tell ya'!

His pipe playing is something to adore!

Now you can say that I dreamed all this up,

That I didn't go to Neverland in the dead of the night.

But I know I met Peter, Tink, and Princess Tigerlilly,

At the second star to the right!
