WARNING: If this is sounding too much like any other Max Ride/PJ fic that has this storyline, PLEASE tell me. I'm trying my hardest to make it different. After someone has told me, I'll fix it right away.

Max pov
"Yawn!" I had just woke up and I felt GREAT! Today Iggy was going to take care of everyone for me I while Fang and I would go out to the mountains. I had a feeling that today was going to be fantastic, or at lest... I thought...
As I went to the bathroom to untangle the brown mess I call my hair, I turned my head to the side and saw the flash of a black mark on my neck. I scrambled around and lifted up my hair. I let out a loud gasp.
"No... It can't be..." An black expiration date was tattooed on the back of my neck.
I touched the back of my neck to make sure what I saw was real. Unfortunately, the mark didn't fade or disappear.
I sunk to my knees only to feel hot tears pouring down my cheeks. I touched them, surprised. Maximum Ride NEVER cries! I needed to pull myself together.
What about the flock?
What should I tell them?
I decided to tell them after breakfast, so that I would have time to think about what to say. I put up my mind blocks (Angel) and quietly tiptoed to the kitchen, making sure my hair kept the expiration date hidden.
Just as I was about to go inside the kitchen, I heard soft voices coming from inside. After dealing with the erasers and the school, I did the natural thing. I listened in.
Was that... The Flock?
"... She can't be trusted..." There were muffled noises coming from the other side of the door.
"I know, that's why..."
"But Fang..."
"Remember when...beach..." I leaned in closer to see if I could hear what they were whispering better, but with me being the graceful eagle I am, I fell.
My eyes met with five annoyed faces.
"Max." Growled Angel. Wait... Growled?
"Um... Hey? Why are you guys up so early?" I asked, confused.
"Max, we have something to tell you." My eyes went wide. No... It can't be! Please! Don't tell me someone else got their expiration date as well!
"We're kicking you out of the flock."

...
...
"Ha ha guys, very funny." I rolled my eyes. They were joking, right? I looked at them for reassurance but they were deadly serious.
"Max, we know your working for the school." Iggy said eyes concentrated on my eyebrows.(Hey, give the guy a break! He's blind!)
"What?"
"Don't lie to us max! We know the truth!" Nudge exclaimed, not meeting my eye directly.
"You would seriously think that I would work for them!?" I was astounded! I turned to someone who I knew would be on my side. My right hand man! The one always had my back. Right?
"Fang?" I was nearly begging. "Don't tell me you believe them?"
"He wouldn't. Not Fang. Not him! He's always there for m-"
"Leave." Was the one word that left his mouth. My whole world came tumbling down. I was left with a broken family and a broken heart.
"Fine." It was my turn to growl.
"If that's what you want, I'll leave! Do me a favor though! Remember this!" I turned, and lifted my hair to show the tattoo. Remorse filled in each and every one of their eyes, except Iggy of course. Iggy was left there asking, "What? What's wrong?" Fang stepped forward.
"Max, I'm...sorry! I didn't know!" I let out a cold, bitter laugh.
"That's the thing Fang! Even if I didn't have it, you still would've kicked me out! Just because I have it, you feel sorry for me! Well, guess what! I don't need your pity!"
"What? What's wrong? Fang? Max?" Iggy asked, frowning
"Max! We didn't know ... Please! We're sorry!" Nudge begged, tears were already streaming down her face.
"Save it!"
"What are you guys talking about?" Confusion showing on Iggy's face.
"But Max! You've always been there for us and-"
"-And this is how you repay me! By thinking that I work with-with them."
"What the hell is it!?" Iggy yelled, furious. The room was cold and silent now.
"Expiration date. I die in two days, Ig." His sightless eyes began to water. Now that I notice it, all of the flock are crying. My next words got caught in my throat.
"I guess this is goodbye...forever." And with that I jumped out of the window, tears streaming down my cheeks.
