"After the finals, let's end this."

It took a lot of courage for Yuuri to say that. He was very anxious about his current relationship with victor; more specifically, that he wanted to leave. He could tell that Victor wanted to go back to competitive skating, from the way he had been watching the short programs earlier that day. Since then, Yuuri had been very anxious about the whole thing, and after a lot of thinking, he had decided that he was clearly dragging Victor back from his full potential and his career as a competitive figure skater. So, he was going to do the right thing, and end this.

Yuuri grasped his phone anxiously, staring at Victor's feet in his hotel slippers and waiting for an answer. Instead, after a few seconds, he saw a tear drop fall onto victor's slippers. He followed the fall of the tears up to Victor's face, where they were streaming down from his eyes. He looked so broken and anguished, and had put his head into his hands when he saw yuuri looking at him. Yuuri's anxiety went through the roof; what had he done? What if Victor never forgave him for this? He tried to stay calm. "Victor, i think it would be best for you and your career as a competitive skater if we ended this. I know, that i'm just holding you back from your full potential, so i think i would stop being such a dead weight to you if we ended this relationship now." (his voice began to choke up around 'i know that i'm holding you back'.) "Victor looked up, tears still streaming from his eyes, and said, "Yuuri, how could you say something like that? After all that we have been through? I don't understand where this is coming from." Yuuri was really starting to panic now. What if victor never forgave him for this? "Look, i saw how you were watching the short programs today, and i could tell you missed it. I could tell from the look you had on your face-it's the same look i have when i watch you skate." Victor wiped away the tears that had been streaming down his face earlier, but were now gradually stopping. "Oh, Yuuri," he said, sounding relieved. " i don't want to go back to competitive figure skating, i just miss skating as much. I don't have much intention of going back to that side of this world, i want to be your coach until you retire. Just like we discussed." Yuuri took a moment to let it sink in. he didn't want to leave him- they would be together forever. He felt as though an enormous weight had been lifted from his shoulders. He smiled, feeling tired but happy. Victor got up and sat next to Yuuri, giving him a huge hug and enveloping him in post-shower warmth. "Yuuri, i don't ever want to leave you." Yuuri's eyes opened in mild surprise- and then relaxed. "Thank you, Victor," he said into the warmth of Victor's side. Victor smiled profoundly. "Now, lets go to bed, you definitely need sleep for tomorrow."
