Confusion

AN: Don't ask. No, really, don't. >>

"So, Weasley…", said Draco huskily, trying to sound seductive. "I was thinking-"

"No.", said Ginny quickly.

"What? But…you don't know what I was going to say!", he cried, accidentally forgetting his purpose for a moment.

"Whatever it is, I DON'T CARE.", she shouted. She was slightly prejudiced against Draco Malfoy for some odd reason. No one really knew.

Draco was shocked. How could she resist his special patented bad boy charm? He checked quickly in the mirror behind her, and, as usual, not a single hair was out of place. He was perfect.

"Ahem? Stop sparkling, it's getting annoying." , she said, referring to a Muggle thing, called Aneem. Anymei? Who knew?

"Sparkling? It must be my natural luminance" preened Draco. He patted his hair and delivered his best smile. Normally, this smile was reserved for a certain Harry Potter, his one true love. Harry was the reason for all this unnecessary wasting of his profound beauty on a mere Weasley. He shuddered at the thought of what he would be forced to do later if – I mean, of course, when he succeeded in seducing Jenny Weasley.

Ginny was confused, and a little frightened. Why was Draco snarling at her? He seemed almost…normal before. She should have known. Everyone knew that the remnants of Draco's sanity had…taken a permanent vacation, so to say.

"You're deranged.", she said, looking at him pityingly.

"And you know you love it.", he said, giving her a darkly seductive look. Or so he hoped. "Jenny…"

Draco thought that saying her first name would add a bit of familiarity between them, As usual, Draco was wrong. Very wrong.

"…what did you call me?" she asked suspiciously. Ginny wasn't stupid, she knew what Draco was trying to do. But honestly, could he at least use the right name? Then again, he was quite insane, so maybe that affected his memory as well.

"Um…Janny?" he asked tentatively. He saw her eyes flash and knew that he had chosen wrongly.

"Ginny.", she said scathingly.

Dammit. He had only been a little bit off. Ginny did not look happy and it seemed she was somehow immune to his amazing charm. Was she wearing some kind of protective charm? He couldn't see one, and besides, could she even afford something like that? He doubted it. It must have been something else. It was really inconvenient too; he desperately needed to seduce Jonny Weasley. How else would he make Harry love him? Everybody knew that Harry was in love with Janny Weasley, and everybody knows that people love people who are similar to them! So, obviously, he must love Junny Weasley as well!

He felt strange, almost as if there was something very wrong with his immaculate logic, but he shrugged it off. He knew that some people thought he was deranged, but it wasn't true, he was perfectly intelligent and capable.

Ginny stared at Draco in horror. Did he realize that he was muttering under his breath? And he wasn't really muttering, either, he was more shouting out at the top of his lungs. It was quite fascinating, actually, to see him deep in thought but yelling out random things.

"SO INCONVENIANT…MUST SEDUCE JANNY…I LOVE HARRY…HARRY LOVES JUNNY…MUST LOVE JONNY TOO...CAPABLE!" he shouted.

Ginny was confused. From his rambled speech, it seemed Draco was trying to seduce her (she ignored the constant forgetting of her name, since truly, it was a strange one, she had no idea what her mother was thinking.) so that…Harry would love him? Because...Harry loved her? But…that was ridiculous!

"Draco.", she said kindly, "You must be confused. Harry doesn't love me. Harry loves Ron."

Draco looked stunned. Then he regained his composure.

"Threesome, then?", he asked, raising his eyebrows suggestively.

After all, there was no shame in being extra careful, wasn't there?
