Press Release from C.H.A.K.R.A.M, 3 June, 20XX

A cache of additional scrolls authored by the Bard of Potedia was recently recovered from a recently excavated site in southern Ukraine. The site, a cave containing ritualistic artifacts and evidence of human habitation through the time of the Bard's life, is located near a site thought to have been the site of long-term Amazonian habitation. It is believed that the cave was used for religious ceremonies.

We have been able to authenticate the authorship of the scrolls by handwriting analysis and stylistic analysis, and their age via radiocarbon dating. Further, we have been able to support the events described by comparison to other historical records and archaeological finds. These scrolls provide surprising revelations about the previous scrolls as well as the life of Gabrielle and of Xena of Amphipolis. They have forced us to reevaluate the sequence of prior scrolls. Namely, it is now believed that the scroll entitled "When Fates Collide" was erroneously attributed to the time between "Last of the Centaurs" and "Many Happy Returns." In light of our recent discoveries, we must now consider it to describe events which occurred after the events of "Friend in Need II," with the newly discovered scrolls following thereafter.

This is further supported by descriptions of events included in "Friend in Need I" and "Friend in Need II" to which Gabrielle would not have been a witness. Several events described would have been witnessed only by Xena herself, to which Gabrielle would not have been privy. Although this is the case in many scrolls, it is considered likely that Gabrielle may have been informed of the evens by Xena post facto. This explanation does not suffice with the "Friend in Need" scrolls. If Xena had, in fact, remain dead after "Friend in Need II," she would not have been able to recount these details to Gabrielle.

We acknowledge that this is indeed a shocking discovery within the field of Xena studies and further analysis is needed. Translations of the scrolls will be released shortly, with relevant information regarding the context and results of scientific analysis.
