One day, a girl sat in the corner of the library, reading a book. She always liked to do this yet it was rather lonely at times. She had friends but she was just afraid.

Suddenly, she heard a voice calling her. She turned this way and that but found no one. She then heard it again and closed her eyes. In the dark, she saw a figure approaching her. She recognized him. "Jesus."

He smiled at her and patted her hair affectionately. "Are you alright?" he asked.

"I don't know."

"Why?"

"I just feel so alone."

"Why don't you just join your friends?" He asked.

"I'm afraid," she said, feeling tears slip down her face. He crouched down beside her and hugged her close. She immediately felt comforted in his presence. She let herself cry a little bit. "I'm afraid of being a disappointment. I'm scared of people thinking that I failed them."

Jesus let go of her and looked her straight in the eye. "When you say that, it's like you're saying that the One who made you was a failure. Every human being is here for a reason."

"But, Jesus, I feel so guilty because I'm afraid that you'll be mad at me or that I would go to Hell." She said, sniffling.

"Dear one, nobody's perfect. If they were, then Home I have prepared for you would be redundant. You just have to put your trust in Me for I am the Way, the Truth, and the..."

"Life." She finished, smiling.

"No matter what you do, you will always be loved. You just have to be able to spread that love to others." He then stood up, gave her one last hug, and left.

She opened her eyes and smiled to herself. There is always hope after all.
