The Fight
Crying softly
into the night,
Thinking back
to the burning fight,
The fight that killed
my happy soul,
The fight that hurt
and turned me cold,
The fight that made me
look this way,
the fight I remember
every day,
the fight that changed
my life for good,
The fight I never
truly understood.
