British and Beautiful

Pairing: America/England

It was merely a habit. Every Tuesday he would sit town for a cup of over priced tea at the small diner located across from his apartment complex. It was also true that every Tuesday the same attractive young man would take his order.

The cheesy name tag would always stand out with it gaudy comics sans font: 'Alfred.' The name always seemed out dated, though the more he thought about it, it fit his unique personality. The kid could not have been older than 20 and had a hero complex. Every week his ear would get ranted off as the boy talked non-stop about everything. It was amusing and really made his week. Maybe this was why he continued to show up... He felt obligated...

"Why hello there, British and beautiful!"

"Your attempt at a decent English accent fails." He smirked, walking up to the counter. The diner was rather calm around three in the afternoon giving them time to converse.

"Same as usual?" Alfred rewarded him a dazzling smile. Sometimes it just made the English man melt.

"But of course, git."

"I still do not know how you can drink this stuff... You old man," Alfred made a gag face, laughing as he rang up the total and beginning to brew the man's tea. "You have no taste..."

"Say what ever you want, Alfred."

"That's Alfred F. Jones to you. You have been showing up every Tuesday for the past half a year and I still don't even know your name, Mr. Britain."

It was routine for "The Alfred F. Jones," to sit with him in his usual corner booth. "Why should I give out such information? I am merely a regular customer."

Something odd glinted in those gorgeous blue eyes, something he couldn't quit read. "Playing hard to get?" Flipping the creamer packets mindlessly, he began to speak with a whispered tone, "I thought perhaps we were friends."

This brought a huge smile to the blonde's face, one that followed up to his emerald eyes, "If we're friends, why would my name matter? Mr. America."

"Touche."

For the first time in the past six months, Arthur Kirkland broke his usual Tuesday routine. It hurt to look this beautiful.
