"Sammy! Sammy wake up!" Sam felt someone shaking him franticly, in a scared voice.

"Huh? What?- Dean are you ok? What's wrong? Why are you crying? Did you hurt yourself or something?" Dean was crying and Sam couldn't figure out why. Sam turned on the light and looked the younger, crying Dean.

"I-I..." Dean's little face was covered in tears.

"Dean what's wrong?" Sam knew his brother was upset but about what he didn't know.

"I had a nightmare about mommy!" That right there broke Sam's heart. His brother was just turned into a four year-old two days ago and for the most of the time acted like his normal/older-self, but now…..Dean was crying, more like bawling.

"Dean…Come here." Sam scooped Dean in his arms and the both sat on the bed.

Dean clung to Sam's night shirt with small hands and his face pressed to Sam's chest. Sam could feel the hot tears soak through his shirt, which makes him ache more.

"It is ok." He said trying to calm his small brother down. "It was just a nightmare, not real."

Sniffle "S-Still. It was s-scary Sammy. I watched mommy die all over again." He cries harder, if that was even possible. Clearly his nightmare was too much for his four year old mind. Sam hugged his brother a bit tighter thinking of what to say.

"Dean….Do you miss mom?"

Dean nods.

"I think that is why you had the nightmare. You miss her so much at it makes you sad and lonely. But remember what mom use to say?"

"Mommy use to say that angels were watching over me." Dean said rubbing tears from his face

"That is right, and you know what?"

"What?"

"She is an angel and she is watching over you."

Dean stopped crying and his eyes became wide with wonder.

"She is a beautiful angel that is protecting you from bad and scary things. Now whenever you get scared remember mom is there to protect you and nothing bad will happen. Ok?"

Dean nods yes again.

Sam smiles, happy that he was able to calm down his brother. Soon he felt Dean start to sink into his arms. Sam lowered himself with Dean deeper in the bed, knowing that Dean was still a little frightened to sleep alone tonight.

Sam didn't mind being the bigger brother for once, it was kind of nice. Telling Dean that their mom was looking over them and was a beautiful angel calmed his heart as well. Maybe he was right. Maybe their mom was an angel and would protect them from 'bad and scary things'.

Sam brought the covers over the both of them and Dean snuggled closer to Sammy.

"I love you Sammy. I feel better." Dean said in a small tired voice.

"I love you Dean. I feel better too."

When Dean slept that night he dreamed that he was with his mom. She was holding him close and humming 'You are my Sunshine'. The dream was warm and full of light. Mary had big angel wings that wrapped around her and Dean, giving him the sense of being loved. Feeling her love, like from long ago.
