Lucifer downed another shot as he leaned back in his chair and sighed softly to himself. It was his second bar for that night and from the looks he was getting, he might be kicked out of this one as well. There was a musician singing in the corner of the bar, although Lucifer wasn't really paying attention. The guy had long brown hair and was singing some sappy song while plucking the strings on his beat up old guitar. He fought the urge to roll his eyes at the man as he motioned for the bartender, a cute blonde in her early 20's, for another shot of whiskey.

"Thanks, sweetheart," he thanked the girl as she handed him his drink. She smiled and went to help the next customer. Lucifer pulled out his phone and checked his messages. Of course, his perfect older brother, Michael had left him about four voicemails. He put his phone to his ear and listened to the first one.

"Lucifer, Father told me that if you don't stop acting out, I have the right to beat your rebellion out of you. If that solution does not work, you will be cast out of this family. You-," Lucifer rolled his eyes and turned off the phone. He really could care less what his know-it-all father and upstart of an older brother thought of him. He knocked back the shot and listened to the music in the background. The guy wasn't bad, for someone who sung sappy love songs. The song ended and the man began almost pounding on the strings of his guitar. Lucifer recognised the song as one of his favorites. He sang along under his breath as he watched. When the song was over, the musician smiled at the crowd and walked off the stage. Almost immediately, people swarmed him and Lucifer smirked at them. It was as though they were just trying to be cool and fit in. Herd conformity disgusted him.

Lucifer ordered a beer and when he recieved it, he took a swig and turned back to the crowd. It had died down and he chuckled softly. The guy must have left with someone or without. He didn't really care. He looked around when he felt someone tap him on the shoulder. It was the musician.

"Hey, is this seat taken?" he asked softly. Lucifer noted that he had hazel eyes and looked extremely tired. He nodded and the guy took the seat next to him. He looked over to the waitress. "Hey, Jo. Can I get a beer?" he called over. The blonde nodded and slid him over his drink. He turned to Lucifer and stuck out his hand. "I'm Sam," he introduced. Lucifer felt himself reach over and take his hand.

"Lucifer," he said simply withdrawing his hand. Sam also took his hand back and had a swig of his beer. Lucifer watched as he did so and then mentally scolded himself for being a creeper. He looked down at his hands before looking up at the sound of Sam's voice.

"Wanna get out of here?" Sam questioned him, smirking cheekily. It took all of Lucifer's self control not to seem to excited as Sam grabbed his hand and led him out the door.
