Disclaimer: This is not going anywhere. It's not. I swear. It's ending right there. Exactly where the last period is. And it's stopping. Nothing else. Not a word. Think of this as an introduction. If anyone wants to finish the story you go right on ahead. But as for me, the buck stops there. Oh and I don't own Dark Angel. Probably best that way. It'd be totally mean if I got to end it wherever I wanted. Heh.

Normal stared as Alec walked into Jam Pony. Correction, Normal stared as Alec #2 walked into Jam Pony.
"Maxie?" For once when that name was spoken there was no 'don't call me Maxie', no smack upside someone's head. There was only a small gasp and a look of mixed awe and trepidation.
"Ben?" There was an answering smile and all at once everyone registered that this was not Alec. It wasn't the fact that there were two 'Alecs' in the building that brought them to this conclusion. It was Alec #2's smile. No sarcasm, no humour, no wit was involved, just pure unadulterated joy.
"How are you Maxie? Long time no see."
"Ben!" With that she launched herself into his arms. He pulled her close and wrapped his arms around her back. "Oh my god. Is it really you?" she asked amazed.
"It's me alright. It's so good to see you."
Across the room Alec was not pleased. His twin was holding his girl. Not his girl but his girl. The girl with whom Alec was in love but who couldn't usually so much as look at him without violent rages. The girl who could very well be in love with said twin. Damn it his life sucked.
"Well well well… if it isn't 'Brother Ben'." Alec stepped out from behind the counter. The silence in Jam Pony deepened to a level never before experienced. It seemed for a long, tense moment that everyone held their breath. This was going to be interesting…
