My sweet little sleeping girl. There you are, sleeping, so innocent. You cannot know the pain we went through to make the world a safe place. I look at you through the glass to the room where you lie among so many other children, all of them many times weaker than you; all human, you're not; my little girl; you've got the blood of warriors in your veins. But I will not force you to fight, if you choose to, like your brother, I'll teach you. If you'd rather be a scientist you'll have the best teacher in your mother. No matter what you desire I will be there. And the monsters under the bed scare you I'll scare them away. You see, my baby, there are no monsters. We saw to that. Once I'd have thought it impossible for me to be standing here, looking at such a tiny creature, my heart swelling with joy. I've come so far, I can't believe. When I first came here; to kill and destroy, I'd never imagine this would be my home.
