Title: Stupid Weasley

Author: Scarred

Summary: Draco Malfoy reflects on the changes Ginny Weasley goes through in her sixth year. Written before HBP so yeah forgive me.

A/N: Just another quick one shot. Draco's completely OOC but meh. Deal with it.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In her sixth year she chopped off all of her hair. Well not all of it I guess. She left it so that it fell just below her ears. The end result was that she winded up looking even more like her brothers. She claimed that's why she did it. Apparently she was tired of being treated differently just because she was a girl.

I remember being surprised because she actually looked better with the shorter hair. I wouldn't go as far as to say that she was beautiful, but there was definitely something about her. It was the first time I'd ever really been able to see her face. She wasn't able to hide behind her long strands of golden red hair anymore. She had these eyes… These insanely gorgeous eyes. They were bright blue. The brightest blue that I had ever seen. I'd always just assumed they'd be brown. I mean not that I spent a lot of time thinking about her eyes. But it wasn't just her eyes. The rest of her was perfect too. Well as perfect as a stupid Weasley with cheap hand-me-down robes could be anyways.

She started smoking next. Only she didn't smoke a pipe like most wizards do. She preferred those little sticks that we read about in muggle studies that one time in third year. She'd smoke them down near the lake in the evenings when the sun was setting. I know this because one night when I was walking she offered me one and against my better judgment I accepted it. God it was awful! I thought I was going to die. I remember choking on the smoke like it was yesterday. I also remember the sweet sound of her laughter ringing through the evening air. Her laugh was so unlike those of the Slytherin girls that I was used to being around. First off it wasn't at all fake and second it wasn't directed at anyone. Not even at me, standing there next to her, trying to look superior whilst nearly coughing up a lung. She was just… laughing. And before I knew it so was I. And that caught me off guard. I'd never just casually laughed with someone like that.

I haven't seen her since my Hogwarts days. I think I read somewhere that she married Dean Thomas. Naturally I wasn't present at the ceremony, but you can bet that it was small (naturally it would be with the Weasley's budget) and intimate. I'm sure a good time was had by all. They probably all got shit faced and told stories about the good old days when they were young. It's not like it bothers me. It's just that I don't get what she sees in him. He's a complete half-wit. She could have done better. Even if she is (or rather was) just a stupid Weasley.
