Blackstar tilted his head slightly and smiled at me. "What? He really does?"
I opened my mouth and closed it. Did I really just tell Soul's biggest secret? What was I supposed to say? If I say no it might crush him because he might like him back and if I say yes and he doesn't like him back I might ruin their friendship!
"Oh, uh, forget that I ever said that. Do you want some cookies? I have cookies in the oven!" I said as I turned around on my heal and walked toward the kitchen.
"Wait! You didn't answer my question!" Blackstar said as he followed me into the room. "Does he or does he not?" I slipped on my oven mitts.
"Mmmm, don't these smell good?" I said as I pulled them out.
"You're avoiding the subject!" Blackstar shouted. "Maka, please just tell me."
"Blackstar, I can't-"I began, resting my elbows on the counter with my head in my hands.
"Hey, I'm back!" Soul yelled. Wow, today is not my day, is it? Blackstar huffed.
"I'll just ask him if you won't tell me," Blackstar said as he walking into the living room. I followed cautiously.
"Oh, hey, I didn't know you would be here. What's up?" Soul said as he flashed Blackstar a toothy smile. The assassin returned the smile.
"Oi, I heard that you," he cleared his throat." Like somebody."
Soul shot a glare at me. "Oh really, and who told you this?"
"That's not important at the moment; I just want to know who you like…" Blackstar said as he took a step closer.
"Are you sure you can handle the truth?" Soul asked with a smirk on his face.
"I can handle anything you throw in my direction."
"Well then, I'll just tell you," Soul leaned forward so that his lips were hovering over Blackstar's. "I like you. A lot." Blackstar and Soul's lips crashed together, Blackstar tossing his arms around Soul's neck.
"Aw, that's so cute!" I said as I clasped my hands together. When they broke the kiss Soul looked over to me.
"This doesn't mean you're off the hook for telling him."
"Aw crap."
