Chapter 1
The Burden
Vivien was 16, but didn't have that much to show for. She was more of a quiet girl, so she never got into any activities.
It's been two years since her father left, and her mother is slowly losing her mind.
"Vivien are you ready for swords training today?"
"Yep. I'm all ready to go."
"All right, love you."
Vivien's mom kisses her on her forehead and sends her off.
While Vivien was exiting Orania, she saw a beam of light strike the village.
It was the revenants, the evil, undead assassins. Their leader, Reia walked out of the ship.
"Strip this village clean. Leave no survivors."
Vivien witnessed her entire village get burnt and everyone inside, including her mother.
Reia spotted Vivien and ordered her men to get her.
While running with the men only feet behind her, Vivien felt a brush of wind fly by her face.
A white arrow went through all the revenant assassins, killing them all.
In shock, she went to discover where that had came from.
A cloaked figure ran right for her, and Vivien palmed them in the face.
"Ow."
"Show yourself!"
The cloaked figure pulled their hood down. It was a blonde, blue eyed boy.
"My name's Dylan. I wasn't trying to ambush you, I was saving you."
"Sorry. I kind of thought you were a revenant."
"It's fine. Follow me. There's a camp not far from here, we have supplies.
"How do I know I can trust you?"
"If I was going to kill you I would have already. Just trust me."
"Okay, I trust you."
"You'll be a good one, but first I need to train you"
