The rain pelted down like it were to build up an ocean on land, but instead, is made the river rise. A beautiful calico cat slowly and steadily tried to walk against the will of the rushing wind, her white, orange and grey fur brown from the soaking weather. "I won't let you down.." The she-cat mumbled thorugh the ball of fur that hung from her jaws; a little kit. The cold, wet kit squealed in pain as each peircing drop of rain tore at her, reaching her skin and chilling her to the bone.
As the rain stopped coming from a slant, it attacked from straight above. Through the heavy fog that accompanied the storm, the calico mother could make out the look of a rushing river, with large, slippery stones that poked out. With a purr of amusement, the drenched cat leaped across each stone, slipping each time. At the the last stone, a rush of the ice-cold water brushed over her feet. "Gah!" She screetched as the stream pulled her down. Her little white and brwn kit yowled and screamed in terror as the shards of ice in the river scraped her back. The terrified mother screetched through her kit's fur, hoping for a savior. "If only I was a Riverclan cat..." She thought as the cold began to tire her.
Quickly, a pale brown tabby leaped into the ice-water. His huge muscles posed a threat to the rapid waves, as he did not go down easily. The huge tom grasped his dislocated jaw onto the calico's scruff, who was just barely awake, not even enough to heave the kit above water. Determined and swift, he drug the she-cat to the shore, pulling her out of the roaring river and into the storm of skeeting rain. "Charlotte!" The tom gasped, prodding her side until her eyes opened. "Crookedstar... Take her..." The light voice of "Charlotte" sounded, and she released the shivering she-kit from her jaws. Noticing the kit, Crookedstar licked it's head rapidly. "Good, Good! Now you can come join the clan, right?" He franticlly and releively purred, begining to warm the kit up. "No."
"No?"The leader asked, stopping himslef from moving in the storm. "I will... Join... another.." She forced herself to say, trying to lift herself up. Confused at her contrary words, Crookedstar tilted his head. "Starclan is taking me..." She purred, licking the head of the tabby and collapsing to the ground. Croockedstar kept the kit beneath him as his eye shone with fear. "May she bring the clan back to the forest." Charlotte gasped, the shine escaping her eyes as she took her last heave for air.
"Charlotte?" The tom croaked. "NO! DONT GO!" He yowled, his eyes fearful and wet with greif. The drenched she-kit looked up to him with a spark in her eye. As she blinked, the leader could she the image of a purple shape.. It shone deeply, and the kit looked at him with the same look of destiny her mother had.
