Chapter one
Sequel to The New Girl
Nikole's POV
I sat around in Julius' room drinking coffee silently as he worked on his clocks. He didn't seem to mind me sitting here, at least I hope not, because I wasn't planning on moving anytime soon. That would take effort. It took me a while to get used to this world, but it grew on me quickly. Especially since Alicia was gone. I still had a nightmare every now and then about her. She still lingered in my thoughts, but I doubt anyone else ever thought about her, as far as they know, they will never see Alicia again.
"Nikole." Julius' voice shook me from my thoughts. "Yeah?" I sat up, holding the coffee in my hands to warm me.
He rubbed his forehead. "I hate for me to ask this of you once again but-" he started but I was already up getting my warm black jacket that had holes and cuts from previous adventures in this world, and a gun that Elliot secretly gave me for protection when I went for a walk. He gave me a whole speech on how to use it, when to use, but I forgot most of it. I just hoped no one would get to the point where they needed to kidnap me, I mean, I bet I could think of some of the moves that Grey taught me, but that would be a long shot. It was about 2 years ago, and I forget things easily.
"Find Ace, got it. I won't be long." I smiled as I opened the door.
He made a 'humph' noise as I left. I made my way through the forest; hand on the gun, just in case I got into trouble again. Anything can happen here, death is a usual thing to them, it's kind of sad.
I sighed, Ace is unbelievable. Noise from behind me made me jump; I grabbed the gun an aimed at the bushes behind me. Footsteps came from behind me, I turned with the swish of my leg, hoping to hit a head, but instead someone grabbed my leg. I looked at my competition. He wore all black with no face. I cringed as he twisted my ankle, making me hit the ground. I coughed, reaching for my gun but he grabbed my jacket, lifting me up a hitting my on the nose.
Ha, I feel... Sleepy..
Julius' POV
It's been a while since she's left. I tinkered with the clocks a while longer until the knight slammed the door open. He was covered in snow and had blood everywhere. I sighed in annoyance. It took them long enough, but something stopped me immediately. "Where's Nikole?" I asked, staring at the open door hoping she would come through.
Ace laughed. "How would I know, I haven't seen her in like, 10 time periods." He smiled.
"I sent her to get you. You didn't see anything of hers?" I asked, standing up and pushing in my chair.
He thought for a moment. "No the snow probably would have covered it anyway, Haha." He smiled again.
I cursed under my breath. "Don't worry about the clocks, we're finding her." I mumbled, grabbing his collar and dragging him back outside where it was snowing insanely bad. I sighed, how troublesome.
Ace's POV
I mean yes, this is funny because Julius is freaking out Haha but hey, I am worried but come on. Nikole lost? The best thing in the world. Seems like a little ol' knight is gonna find a lost princess.
Hey guys, I'm gonna try and update this frequently. Um, I am pretty busy. Probably the next update can be tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. I already have 5 chapters down so I'm on a roll.
