A/N: Alright, everyone! This is written for the X-Men Evolution Challenge Forum! I will place this notice here, now. I will only update stories until November, and then will not update again until December 1st - as I'm going to be participating in NaNoWriMo. c:

Teenage Dream by Katy Perry -

"Come on, Todd," begs Jean, reaching out and grabbing hold of the younger mutants hand. "Just stay here, please."

Large yellow eyes turn to look at her, and for a moment it's as though Todd is really considering it. Staying at the manor, with her. Or maybe even just leaving, because hadn't he said once he would love to live by the ocean? With golden sands and salt filled air?

Then he blinks and that look is gone and Jean's heart is sinking, because she knows his mind is already made.

"I can't, Red. They need me here," answers Todd, but he doesn't pull his hand back and his eyes are telling Jean to change his mind.

Make him leave.

Animals by Nickleback -

Todd pulled his lip back in a snarl, one that was all yellow teeth and bloodied gums. His eyes narrowed until they were little more then slits, watching the white-coated man as he walked through the room.

Each cage he passed, he rapped on. Stopped to look at the notes on a clipboard here, peered in at a mutant there, scoffed as he passed one particular cage, with a young girl in it. Todd didn't know her name, just that she couldn't be older then ten and she looked so completely terrified, with those pure white eyes staring out of light grey skin.

Eventually though, the man stopped in front of his cage, just like he did every day. Gave a low hum as he peered in at Todd, and Todd gave a low growl back, didn't care about how inhuman he sounded, looked.

Here, in this Hell hole, none of them are humans anymore.

Catch Me If You Can by Burnham -

"What, yah ain't even gonna talk tah me now?" asks Rouge, frowning down at the smaller mutant. She crosses her arms over her chest and is probably trying to look mad, Todd realizes, to look pissed.

She doesn't. Rather, Todd doesn't care if she is or not. No point in caring about her anymore, and so he just shrugs in answer to her question. "No point, dawg."

"Of course there's a point! The point is that Ah spoke tah yah!" snaps Rouge, and she reaches out to grab Todd - by the shoulder, maybe, or the wrist if she can catch it.

Todd moves away before she can. Then, he slips into the crowded hallway.

Like The Angel by Rise Against -

"Not yet," mutters Todd, eyes pausing on the small map dot labeled Bayville. "A couple more stops."

His finger lingers for a moment and then moves down, slower than it had been when he chose his last destination. It's getting harder to keep away from the small town, from those golden eyes, but Todd doesn't think that he can go back and face everyone else just yet.

And so he picks another spot, another insignificant place on the map, and Todd goes there instead.

Later, he promises himself, he'll go there later.
