Damn Rick Barber.

It was completely unexpected for Elektra when he appeared into her life, into everybody's lives. At first he was just another taunting victim.

But then…he changed her life around. Elektra didn't want it, but she couldn't stop him.

Rick was teasing, funny, he made Elektra smile, and he was good-looking. Elektra had tried her hardest not to fall for him, but it hadn't taken her long.

It hadn't helped that one time at Christmas, where Elektra had been fixing mistletoe, since Mike forced her to, and Rick had come in.

"What are you doing?" he'd asked.

"Putting up mistletoe." Elektra replied shortly, and let out a small shriek of surprise as he grabbed her by the waist and pulled her off of the chair. "Rick Barber, if you don't let go in…"

She suddenly realized he'd gotten her under the mistletoe with him. He was a sly one. Elektra struggled, but Rick pulled her down, pressing his lips to hers.

Elektra struggled for a while, but then sighed and kissed back.

When she opened her eyes again, he'd disappeared. She moved quickly out of the mistletoe and touched her lips.

Suddenly Elektra was jolted out of that memory by her door opening and closing. Rick was in front of her.

"Are you okay? Lately, you've been…distant." He said.

"I'm fine." Elektra said, getting up. Just go, please, before I do this…

"Come on, talk to me."

"I can't."

"Why not?"

"Rick…"

"What?"

Elektra couldn't hold herself back. She stepped towards him, placed her hands on his shoulders, and looked him hard into the eyes.

"What're you…" Rick was cut off by Elektra slamming her lips to his.

She felt his hands move quickly to her waist as he responded.

What the hell was she doing? Well, it felt right, whatever was going on here.

Elektra broke away and opened the door, gesturing for him to leave.

"Elektra, I…"

"You know where I am if you change your mind." She said, walking out herself.

Feelings like this were not natural for Elektra Perkins.

Damn Rick Barber.
