A/N: This was written for ToxicRainfall's Winter Wonderland challenge on the HPFC. My prompt was moon and my characters were Percy and Fleur. Reviews much appreciated!

Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter.

Percy had never really noticed how beautiful Fleur was until now.

He had heard people go on and on about her- he had heard her called an angel and a swan and the most beautiful girl on the planet but Percy had never really seen it. Yeah, she was one-quarter Veela but it was only one-quarter, for goodness sake. What would happen to a man if he was put into contact with a full Veela, he wondered

Yes, she was pretty but Percy wasn't normally a romantic sort of person. He certainly considered himself too busy to dream over a girl, especially one who was already married and to his own brother.

While it was no secret that Percy's brothers- and not just the one who was married to her- were either deeply in love with Fleur or trying to get over their love for her since she now practically counted as their sister, Percy was not. Yes, he had abandoned his family for three years but he was not low enough to fancy his own brother's wife,

Honestly, he wasn't. Especially since Bill had hexed George after a rather tactless joke about Fleur and George had ended up in St Mungo's.

This evening, however he was beginning to think differently.

It was late Christmas Eve- or was it early Christmas morning, now?- and everyone else was in bed but Percy- and Fleur too it seemed.

He was wandering aimlessly round the house, enjoying the peace and quiet that was extremely rare during the holiday season, what with eleven or so people trying to share a relatively small space, when he saw her outside the window.

Percy allowed himself nearly a whole minute looking at the back of her head, gazing at the girl who was a quarter- only a quarter- Veela; who was his brother's wife and therefore completely and totally of limits (as proven by George) and who was currently standing outside in temperatures that were probably sub-zero wearing nothing but one thin jumper and gazing with apparent fascination at the moon.

Something, perhaps the small amount of Veela blood possessed by Fleur, compelled him to go outside and talk to her. Acting on impulse, something almost foreign to Percy, he soon found himself outside.

"Hi."

She turned round, giving Percy an excellent view of her silvery blonde hair cascading like a waterfall or something equally poetical and smiled. "'ello Percy."

Her French accent, which Percy usually found rather annoying, seemed to enchant him tonight and he wondered briefly if someone- most likely George- had slipped him a love potion as some sort of joke.

"I was just admiring ze moon," she said. "It looks so beautiful tonight, don't you think?"

"Yeah." Percy wasn't looking at the moon, which was a small crescent and did not look particularly unusual to him, but at Fleur.

"I think that a winter moon is one of ze most beautiful things in the 'ole universe."

Percy nodded, although right now he could think of a different contender for most beautiful thing in the whole universe.

Fleur went on about the moon and how pretty it looked and how in France it looked pretty too, especially when it was snowing but perhaps not quite as pretty as this and Percy pretended to be listening and admiring the moon too but really he could not take his eyes away from Fleur's enchanting profile.

He had definitely consumed a love potion of some kind and would have to find an antidote fast. Or perhaps it was something to do with Fleur's Veela charm. He would have to do some research.

But right now he couldn't leave the garden because that would mean leaving his ample view of Fleur which he did not feel he could do.

He would never tell Bill about this of course because he did not want to end up in St Mungo's but Fleur really was extremely attractive.
