It's an average day in the Sol Dimension palace. Boring. A bunch of royal snobs sitting around talking about how dumb Princess Elise is. On occasion, the topic will change. Sometimes they would talk about suitors or gossip about what is going on in town or tell rumors of Blaze the Cat. Yes, Blaze the Cat. The Duchess will say in a quiet whisper, "Did you hear about that princess, the cat?" and one of the other princesses would say, "Good heavens yes! I hear she shoots fire from her body!" and another would say, "I hear she is more eligible than Elise to become queen!" and another usually chimes in with, "I hear she already IS queen!" and so goes the rumors about Blaze the Cat, which all are true. Blaze hates being queen anyways. She has to wear her hair in a certain way, wear annoying frilly dresses that made her waist incredibly tiny, wear a thick coating of makeup, and a crown that never stayed in place. Even though that's been her life for the past seventeen years, she feels like something's missing. The king had never let her see her genealogy in the hall of open records, nor let her leave the castle to visit her family. Blaze had two theories, the king is a paranoid security freak or she has no family, and the king doesn't want her to find out, but why?
Marine the Raccoon was born on a ship with a sexton in her hand. Her chores weren't make her bed and wash the dishes, they were hoist the mainsail and keep lookout. Since she was an infant, the waves have rocked her to sleep. Now, Marine is twelve and still loves sea life, but wonders if there's anything else out there for her besides the Cappy. She has books about kids that go to school, and people who find true love, and a book series about Robotropolis and how it was destroyed by Dr. Robotnick, and restored by Queen Aleena and her children. In all of the stories, there was family, a house and love. Something Marine obviously didn't have. Since she was a baby she's been living with glorified roommates who couldn't tell her who her parents were and where she came from. The only thing the captain offered was that she came from Australia and her parents gave her to the Cappy's crew because Eggman was taking them prisoner. Marine wanted to know more. What if her parents were somewhere out there?
