Ch 1: Getting started

Selphie Timid, as you already know, is a girl who never thinks before she acts, but sometimes her thoughts make big difference to the people closest to her. One day, as school time arrives came her most unexpected decisions ever made...

There, between the Destiny high school and the outside campus, students continue to throw crazy stares behind a certain girl's back as she roams around and seeks until finally, she found what she was looking for--or should I say 'WHO she was looking for.'

"Hey!" Selphie called out and quickly shot out from her position and ran towards 'the blond and the scarlet haired girls.'

She soon reached them both with a big dignifying smile.

"Hey, Selphie," the two greeted back.

She panted, "Pwe, I've been like searhing everywhere for you guys."

The sun is clearly visible high above the sky, flowers blooming every where, and birds singing from tree to tree. You may as call this time of season; Spring.

"What is it, is something wrong?" asked Namine worriedly.

"No, there's nothing wrong," Selphie replied showing a hint of humor in her voice.

"Then what's the matter?" Kairi spat back, "It looks like you've been traveling in long distances lately just to find us."

She took in a deep breath and begin to speak rather fast concidering her usual hyper self even with a good relaxation, "I'mheretoaskyouguysifyoutwocancomewithmetojointheupcomingplayfortheschool." Her eyes starts forming puffy, begging them to agree. "Can you two please, please, please come join with me?"

Although the two girls unbelievingly understand her first words, they pretended not to and were just silent.

Selphie already knew them both so she knows they could understand even the most quickess rants she could ever say from the begining. She spoke up again, but now, this time, it's something that made them feel the guilt. "Aww, come on," she whined as she knows the answer concerning their reaction, "the others have already joined and we're the only ones left."

She crossed her arms sharply and turned away.

Kairi and Namine glance at each other and faced the upset girl.

"Um" Kairi began to explain, "Well, Selphie, I know you understand and ACKNOWLEDGE that we have some kind of um...'trepidation' or in other words; 'fear' when being in front of a lot of people, right?"

She stop to see if Selphie interpret what she's saying, but she noticed she doesn't, so she just jump to the conclusion, "You know? a stagefr--" but before she could finish her sentence, Namine put her hand on her mouth, knowing what she's trying to say while she sweat dropped from it.

This silenced the aburn-haired Kairi when she felt the hands of her twin sister pressed against her pink lips.

"Yes, we'll join you," Namine quickly suggested.

Selphie's upset face was suddenly washed over by a big smile and then faced them.

"Cool! thanks guys, you are like; the best!" she exclaim, while from that moment, starts jumping up from joy.

Kairi finally released Namine's hand from her mouth and stared daggers back at her.

"Why did you say that?" she shouted in a whisper so Selphie wouldn't hear, "Do you remember our promise with each other, or do I have to remind you to?"

Flashback:

A seven year old Kairi and Namine were standing on a stage staring at the crowd of people, watching them impatiently.

"Sing now, sing!" the person, known as their principal standing at side of the stage, shouted in a whisper.

Their mother look at them worriedly with hands locked firmly together. She's there sitting with a heavy heart at the front.

After waiting for quite a long time, a person stood up and shouted, "Come on, sing already!"

Then, from this unexpected comment that just came in, all the people took the chance and began shouting and yelling at once for them to start.

Kairi then put the microphone close to her mouth, but instead of singing, she began to sob. Namine began to cry too in which because of their uneasy sentimentality.

They tried to stopped crying, but they just couldn't, even if they tried their hardest to stop their unneccesary melodramatical expression; they're trembling too much.

Their mother, by the way, couldn't help seeing them fall in the middle of the unsteady situation. So, she stood up and walked on the stage grabbing their hands, not even caring on what the people would say, and walked off as the principal slapped her hand on her forehead with frustration.

The principal then walked to the microphone and began speaking to the audience to calm their nerves down.

After what happened, Kairi and Namine was now being teased by their classmates. They felt pain all over.

So, they promised each other that they'll never set foot on any stage ever again...

End of Flashback

...Until now...

"That is so embarrassing," Kairi said. Her remembrance of the past made her shiver from head to toe out of uneasiness.

Namine did exacly the same but just shook it off out of her head.

"But that's a long time ago. In fact, we would hurt--" she tried to say.

"I know we would hurt our friend's feelings but... we promise," Kairi cutted, the end of her eyebrows stick up together forming a sad, emotional face.

Namine could only sigh, for she too refuse to join. But they both knew that making people happy first (for example: Selphie) is a good thing to do. Like their mother had once told them when they were young that; doing something to other people to make them happy, is better than doing something to yourself first, it would make you happier if you do that.

But, they aren't even sure if what they did would make THEM happy.

Selphie, who'd been celebrating her successful victory, suddenly stopped as she noticed their reaction and ask, "What's wrong?"

"N-Nothing," they both said, putting up a fake smile.

Selphie smiled back and suddenly remembered 'something' that they have to do first in order to join the play.

"Oh, I forgot. The first thing we need to do is to sign up." she told them.

"Huh?" they both gave her a confuse look.

"Come on, this'll be fun," she replied as she walked between them, grabing their hands, "Isn't this so exciting!" She then took off, dragging poor Namine and Kairi along the way.

They soon finally reach their destination and saw a few people signing a paper on a table near by.

They immediately recognize one person that was included with the other people and the three yelled out her name, "Hi, Olette!"

The brunnete girl look up from the sound, acknowledging their presents just several distances away to her right. "Oh, hey guys," she greeted in return.

The three quickly approach her and eventually met up with her. As soon as they reach her, their eyes were glued instantly on the paper she signed on to earlier before they even got there.

"So your signing up too?" Selphie ask, even though she already know the answer.

"Well duh? you know how I love trying out new things," she replied full of hyperactive enthusiasim.

"That's great!" Selphie exclaimed with the same reflecting tone in her voice while clapping her hands together, "'cause we're joining too."

"'We're'?" Olette raised an eyebrow at the word, and recognize she's not the only person there as she finally noticed the girls behind her, following Selphie's lead.

"Ohh," she said, clapping hands with Selphie, "Sorry I didn't took notice of the two of you. So you guys are joining too?" she said, now talking directly to Kairi and Namine.

They both answered by nodding their head. "Unfortunately, Yes."

Olette's confusion increase. She knows that it's not Kairi and Namine's thing to join plays and other things, but she just shook off the though and began having conversation with Selphie, laughing and giggling talking about girlish stuff while Kairi and Namine just rolled their eyes and smile, forgetting about their current situation.

Selphie and Olette have been their best friends since since middle school or elementary. (I guess.) They are there to make them laugh every time they feel down-to-earth. Like Namine and Kairi, the two act kinda like the same. Even if they don't look similarly, besides their hair and eye color, the common thing about them is their personality of being girl-ish.

"Oh, sorry guys, I almost forgat, I need to meet up with some in a couple of minutes," Olette stated.

Selphie eyed her suspiciously. "What. Is it Hayner again?"

But, Olette ignored her and said, "ANYways...bye guys." She started walking away as she waved at them good bye, still ignoring Selphie's rantings, "Hey wait! you still haven't answered my question yet, are you two going out--HEY!!" But, unfortunately, she's finally out of sight and Selphie just sigh and turned to the girls next to her. "So, are we signing up or not?"

Both of Namine and Kairi's smile fade away. After remembering 'that' took away their energy in an instant, but they just nodded anyway.

What else could they do now that they have agreed to be a member of this 'play' they're talking about. No take backs, right? Life is just not fair...

-000000000000000000-

Mean while, a blond-haired boy and a brown-haired boy were just walking peacefully down the school hallway until they bumped with their 'one-of-a-kind' friend.

"'Sup, Roxas, 'sup, Sora," this boy greeted.

"Sup, Hayner," Sora and Roxas greeted back, "What are you doing here in the middle of the hallway?"

"Nothin' just wondering around. You?"

"Well, me and Sora are just talking about the play that's coming up next week," answered Roxas, as a matter of factly.

"Speaking of the play..." Hayner bagan, "I came here to invite you two to join it."

"What?! no way!" the two boys exclaimed.

"And I thought you're only here 'wodering around'," Sora said nearly spitting back at him.

"THAT's my other reason, Sora. And, too bad, Olette told me that your girlfriends were signing up too," Hayner told them as if finding a way of forcing them. (Let's just call it 'manupulating them'.)

They didn't respond to it, not until Sora spoke up, "Really?" Roxas, who actually got annoyed from his stupid question, slap him on the head.

"Ow, what the hell is that for?!" Sora whined, rubbing the spot where he got hit.

"Duh, I shouldn't be telling you guys this info if it wasn't true," Hayner answered while crossing his arms across his chest, trying hard not to grin too widely.

"Wait a minute," Roxas said, now getting irritated by the two guys, "First of all, Namine and Kairi are NOT our girlfriends, and second of all; you're just using them so you can force us to join this play, so you wouldn't be alone there, is that right?"

"No!" Hayner exclaimed, "I wouldn't be alone, almost everyone of our friends are joining. You should be happy I'm asking you two this because I don't want the two of you left behind, and if you don't believe me that Namine and Kairi are going to that play, then ask Olette yourself. I just meet up with her earlier saying the same thing and I know you guys KNOW she wouldn't lie to us because she's much more closer to them than we are. AND you should be thanking me that I'm telling you two this because if I didn't tell you...you wouldn't have the CHANCE of spending time with you're crushes on the sta--"

"Shut up, Hayner! people might hear you!!" Sora and Roxas exclaimed as they try to put their hands on his mouth to stop him from reaviling their top secret. This was now causing Sora and Roxas to burn with blush after they heard the last sentence Hayner tried to say out loud.

"Ok, fine, we'll sign up, so shut up!"

Hayner smirked and run away, he turned around and yelled back, "OK then, see you guys on stage!" he waved and run out of sight.

After a quick silence, Sora began to speak, "Well, I guess we can... sign up now."

He rub his neck showing an expression of 'What do we do now?'

Roxas sigh and nodded as they walked to the sign up sheet together.
