Hello!
So I know, I should be updating one of my fics that I have already started, but instead, I'm writing this crap? Hmmm? Well yes, that is true, but...
Ah...no, I don't have an excuse.
Anyway, I decided to try that 100 challenge, that although I don't know the origin (if anyone does, please tell me so I can give the appropriate thanks and disclaimer) I enjoy very much. They're all simply Kagome centric fics.
Disclaimer : I do not own Inuyasha or YuYu Hakusho. I'm not even sure if I legally own myself...
Words: Um...445 I think.
1. Introduction
Running. She was running. Again.
"Ahh!" Kagome screamed, dropping to her knees as the creature chasing her swiped at her head.
And from what could this spitfire teenager possibly be running from? Oh yeah that's right, a demon. Another, freakin' demon.
Kagome continued to mumble mutinous thoughts under her breath, complaining about evil, silly demons hell bent on chasing after her, and then proceeding to kill her, for an equally silly jewel. Sliding slightly in the mud, adding goo to her list of things that gave her that lovely deranged appearance, she dodged another claw-tipped hand, and thankfully leaping over an ill-placed root at the same time. Circling around the sudden crop of trees, she continued her jaunt through the woods.
Of course, it was just like usual, the helpless girl, although of course she denied that vehemently, left with the power magnet while her friends fought the demon. Except this time her friends weren't their, and this time, she wasn't in the Feudal Era, where these demons were supposed to be.
Oh crap, now what?
"Inuyasha!!" she yelled furtively, hoping in some recess part of her mind she could will the hanyou from five-hundred years ago to come to her rescue.
"Spirit Gun!"
Inuyasha?
Feeling the sudden flux of energy, which she assured herself wasn't Inuyasha, Kagome dived to the ground (When in danger, stop, drop and roll as her mother said) and somersaulted straight into a tree.
Ow.
She rubbed her head, glaring at the tree. 'Now where did that come from?' she wondered, more about the tree then her supposed saviour. In fact, she was so concentrated in glaring at the obtrusive tree that she didn't notice the other people's presences until a hand reached down to help her up, startling her out of her thoughts.
She gasped slightly when her eyes met a pair of chocolate-brown ones, morphed into an expression she had seen many times on a certain hanyou. He may have not been the silver haired male she had expected, but he managed to pull of the look all the same.
"Who are you?" He gruffly asked as he pulled her up. She giggled, he even sounded like Inuyasha.
He looked at her questioningly, raking in her appearance, mangled from her sprint in the woods. Raising her hand slightly, Kagome could feel the mud sliding down form the crown of her head to neck, and the ice-cold water seeping into her skin (she had fallen into a pond earlier).
Lifting up her chin slightly, and pointedly ignoring the laughter coming from a certain 'supposed' savoir, she said flippantly.
"Oh, you know, just another damsel in distress."
