Okay so this is my first Kakashi and Sakura Fanfic so I don't know if it's good or not...
Disclaimer: Don't own Naruto or any of the characters... Just the outcome...
Summary: I've loved you for the longest time, and now that I have you, I don't think I can ever let go.
"Sakura-chan! Come ONNN!!" Naruto whined and tried to get Sakura out of her apartment to go to, you guessed it, ICHIRAKU RAMEN!! "Not today Naruto, I'm not feeling very good." Sakura lied. She hated to lie to him, but hey, this was Naruto. "Maybe some other day, why don't you go ask Hinata if she wants to go?" "But, but she faints everytime I ask her ANYTHING!!" Naruto screamed as he ran towards Ichiraku. Sakura looked out her window to see her blond friend run down the street yelling. "Wow... And he's the Hokage"
It was a peaceful day in Konoha. Birds chirping, Shikamaru being lazy, a nice regular sunny da- "HINATA!!" Or not... Naruto yelled as he ran through the whole village trying to find Hinata. Finally, coming around a corner, he ran into the person he was looking for, and knocked her down. "Finally I found you!! Come on!! I need someone to come with me to Ichiraku andSakura-chanwon'tcomewithme!!" Naruto yelled while quickly trying to help Hinata up, without any success cause everytime he grabbed her hand she would faint. Finally she was able to get up and they walked, or ran, to Ichiraku.
Kakashi was standing in front of the memorial stone, like everyday, when he felt a familiar chakra signal behind him. He didn't need to turn around to figure out who it was. "Hey Kakashi-sensei, what are you doing out here?" Sakura asked, walking up slowly to her old sensei until she was standing next to him. "Same thing as always. Didn't I ask you not to call me that? It makes me feel way too old." Kakashi calmly replied as he smiled his famous smile. (A/N: Faints) Sakura smiled back nervously. Damn you Kakashi. Stop being so irresistable already!! "Sorry Kakashi. Old habbits die hard I guess." Kakashi looked at his ex-student. Why do I always feel like this when I'm around her? Could it be? No. It can't. I can't be in love with her.
Oh yes you can!! I knew it! Haha! Inner Sasuke owes me 2,000 Ryo!! I'm having brunch tonight!! Inner Kakashi yelled just like outer Naruto.
When will you shut up?
When you ask her out.
I hate you...
I know... smirk
Ok, fine. I'll play your little game..
"Umm, Kakashi? Are you okay?" Sakura asked, worried. She watched as her former sensei came out of his daydreaming long enough to answer her. "Yeah. I'm fine. I was wondering something though." "And what's that?" Kakashi rubbed his neck nervously. "W-well, um, I-I uh," Why am I stuttering?? I never stutter!! Just ask her. "I was wondering if you would want to go out with me tonight. To dinner or something, but I'll understand if you don't want to." He said quickly. Sakura looked at the man in front of her, waiting for her answer. She smiled warmly. "S-sure. I'll go out w-with you t-tonight. H-how about around seven?" Now I sound like Hinata. Inner Kakashi did a victory dance while outer Kakashi kept his cool. "Seven sounds perfect. See you then." He said as he started to walk away, but was soon stopped by Sakura's voice. "And don't be late!" She called out to him. He just smiled and waved good-bye, eager for his date in just a few short hours.
-- At Ichiraku --
"WHAAAAAAAAAT!!" Naruto yelled out as he almost fell out of his chair. Hinata looked at him like he was a maniac. The young Hokage put himself together just in time to miss a punch directed to his head."But, but how... who... when... HE'S OLD!!"
"Naruto, would you just shut it for two minutes?"
"But WHY!! I mean, he was our sensei, and you could do alot better!!" Missed another punch.
"Naruto, believe it or not, I'm in love with him and I think he actually likes me! Why can't you just be happy for me?!"
"Because, if you two actually start a relationship, people will start rumors about how he pressured you into a relationship, or even threatened you! Do you want to go around hearing this every day?"
Sakura looked at her friend, stunned. "I'm sure he doesn't like me that much Naruto. Besides, I know he could do better than me, and even if we did get into a relationship, he would probably be arrested for being a pedophile or something like that. But it's just one date, okay?" Tears were forming in her eyes. "Sakura, don't cry. You know I wouldn't allow that to happen, I'll deal with the counsel if it comes to that. You deserve to be happy." Naruto said as he hugged his best friend. "Thanks Naruto. I better go get ready for my date. Hinata, can you help me with my hair? I asked Ino to help me pick something to wear." Hinata smiled and nodded. "Sure."
-- At Sakura's Place --
"Okay, this is NOT what I had in mind!" Sakura yelled as she examined herself in the mirror. She was wearing a knee length black dress which was of course, strapless. One of the bad things for having Ino as a best friend, she always had some sort of dress waiting for Sakura. Her make-up and hair were okay, mostly because Hinata did that part, keeping Ino far away from that stuff. "What are you talking about Forehead! You're gorgeous! He won't be able to take his eyes off of you! Or maybe if you're lucky, his hands." Ino whispered the last part in Sakura's ear, causing her to turn the same shade as a tomato. "Don't worry Sakura, you look perfect." Hinata reassured her. Sakura smiled and hugged her two friends.
Not long after Sakura's little make-over, and after Ino and Hinata left, there was a knock at the door, causing Sakura's stomach to do flip-flops. She answered the door and her breath stopped. Kakashi was dressed in a black dress shirt and black pants, mask and headband also black. He looked even more irresistable than he did earlier that day. Her thoughts were cut short as she felt Kakashi loop his arm around hers and led her out of her apartment. "You look beautiful." He whispered in her ear as they walked to their destination. Sakura blushed as she felt his warm breath on her. "Uh, th-thanks Kakashi. You l-look hansome as well. S-so where are w-we going?" Kakashi smiled at her stuttering. "It's a surprise."
"Reservation for two, under the name Hatake." Kakashi politely said to the waitor. Sakura looked around the restaraunt. Kakashi had taken her to the fanciest restaraunt in the whole village. How he could afford it was beyond her. Maybe it was all the times that he skipped out on paying the bill at Ichiraku after he said he was taking everyone to luch for a job well done. "Ah yes. Mr. Hatake, this way please." They were led to a table on the second floor, overlooking the first floor. The waitor took their drink orders and left, leaving the couple to talk. "So, how do you like the restaraunt?" Kakashi asked.
"It's beautiful, how can you even afford this?"
"I had some extra money saved up from all the S-ranked missions I take."
"Oh, hey, want to play a game?" (A/N: Random, I know, but all the Kakashi/Sakura fans will love this part. Maybe.)
"And what game would that be?"
Sakura smiled. "Truth or Dare."
"Okay, sounds fun. And what are the conditions?"
"The person who doesn't tell the truth or doesn't do the dare has to do what ever the other person wants."
"Bring it on."
"Okay. Truth or Dare?"
"Truth."
"What's the real reason you asked me out?"
She set me up! Do I tell her or not? "I'll tell you later. Truth or Dare?"
Oh he's good. "Truth."
"What's the real reason you said you'd go out with me?"
Sakura blushed. "I'll uh, tell you later."
"Deal."
After dinner, Kakashi took Sakura for a nightly stroll through the park. "So, it's later. Are you going to answer my question or not?" Sakura's curiosity overtook her and she just had to ask. Kakashi smiled at her and took her hand. "I asked you out because... I love you." Sakura was taken by surprise. Never in her life she thought that he even had any interest in her that way. Ever since Sasuke left, she thought she could never find anyone to love again. But then Kakashi came into the picture and changed her world around. He was always there for her, helping her through whatever she went through. A few years later she realised that she had deeper feelings for him than she imagined.
She had wanted to always be with him, so she would ask him to spar with her every day, then they would go eat lunch together and talk. She loved the way he would look at her when he was listening to what ever she was talking about, the way he would laugh when she would blush. Now she knew why he looked at her like that, why he laughed when she blushed. She had gotten the one thing she always wanted.
Thinking the silence was a rejection, Kakashi let go of Sakura's hand and turned to walk away. "Kakashi... I love you too." Sakura whispered so even Kakashi could barely hear, but he did. He turned around and was surprised when Sakura ripped his mask off and kissed him, never wanting to let go.
Needing air, the couple parted and intertwined their hands together. "Never once did I think that you would love someone like me. You can do better, I know that for a fact." Kakashi said as he rested his head on Sakura's shoulder. Sakura just smiled. "What do you mean someone like you? No one is more perfect than you and I know that for a fact. I love you and no one else. Ever." "You know people are going to say things about us right?"
"Does that bother you?"
"No."
"Good. Me niether. As long as I have you, nothing else matters." And they finished off the perfect date with a perfect kiss.
So what do you think? Good? Bad? Please review, ideas are always welcome...
