Rythyms

"Your music combined with mine is mellifluous in my ears."

"What are you playing?" He asks as he sat beside her while she continues fiddling her violin.

"Air on g string" she stops playing for a moment just to answer him, but then as she sees that he's got nothing to ask, she continues.

he sees this, feeling a little bit annoyed for being ignored for a while as she continued playing her piece. He thinks for a moment and he promptly spat the first thing that comes to mind. " Your tempo's too fast."

She stops. This always works, whenever he uses this tactic, it will be just in a matter of seconds when she finally stops playing. He knows her tempo getting out of beat or it being too fast is such a sore topic to her. She practices a lot but she's just playing too fast, making the more unchallenging notes make such a great and aggressive tempo.

"What do you want now, gintoki?" She says. She's now put down her violin and bow. She clearly looked at his eyes with a frown, irritated at his rude yet honest comment.

"What i just want to say is that it was two weeks ago since we last saw each other and what you've done since last week was practice your piece nonstop." He pouts clearly not liking the divided attention.

"I could say the same too you, it's just last week that you've earned yourself a gold medal." He looks at her clearly surprised that she knows such thing. But before he can even talk, she cuts him off.

"Your also playing piano nonstop for the past few weeks, I've been watching you from afar." She smirks for she knows more than what he gives her credit for.

"Oh, so that explains the snacks and pastries on my table." Indeed she would go buy snacks for him sneaking into his home -because she have some of his spear keys- before going back to her home where she could play her violin.

Just Looking at her with his mouth agape, Gintoki himself thinks of something he wanted to ask her but he clearly cannot seem to get some of the questions out of his mind, he also can't think of a much appropriate banter as of the moment. She sees this and she continues on playing her violin once again.

She still plays, while he on the other hand, continued on processing his thoughts and he can't simply find anything coherent as of the moment. But there's one thing that he's very sure, as much as they like each other they also have the same interest and passion for music. They both like music.

Like for example, He knows of her tendency to ignore the sheet music as she started to set off her own tempo and on how she knows that he acts lazy when it comes with practice when someone's looking but in actuality will practice all night if no one's around watching.

They knew each other so well, like a well-tuned duet, a perfect rhythm, a perfect melody. They know both of their passion towards music. They both join the same orchestra, they knew they were meant to be, but they just don't have the time to be actually together. Like go on some cheesy dates or watch a movie or just stroll the park hand in hand. Instead they both dedicate their time to both their respective instruments.

He thinks again and looks at her as she makes a melody soothing to his ears that suddenly an idea popped out of his mind.

"Let's play a duet, you and me. Together." He says and at the same time. She looks up then stops, thinking that if they were to have a duet it's like hitting two birds in one stone. They can have an actual bonding time together plus they can also play.

"I would like that." She smiles at this and he just can't help it as he smiles too.
