I own nothing besides my forge, tools, oc/s, and the clothes on my back; all rights go to their respective owners. Also, its called fanFICTION for a reason. I don't wanna hear any whining about "It didn't happen that way" or "That can't happen!" you want the original stuff? Go buy it or watch it. This is my story, not yours.
AN: Sorry that the previous version of this chapter was so short. had to get it done and posted before the computer I'm using went on a trip without me. That being said, here is the rewrite. Also, this is the first fic I've ever written, so please be patient. Constructive criticism and the like is much appreciated.
AN2: This Fic will pull from many sources, though the main crossover will be Warhammer 40k and Naruto. Please dont hate.

Chapter 1
Arrival
Kage Drakesong was satisfied. Standing at an impressive 7' 3" as he gazed out over the horizon at the rising sun, shaking his blood-red streaked silver hair back behind his broad shoulders and tying it into a loose ponytail.
'Today is going to be an interesting birthday…' he thought as he stared at the clouds crowding the sun, the color of which reminded him of the glowing golden energy shields his mother's long forgotten ancestors, great warriors the oldest records called "Spartans," wore into battle, and fresh spilt gore. Climbing into his heavily customized Hellion pattern Heavy Scout Vehicle and checking that his cargo inside his stasis pods were still secure in their bay, he flipped the ignition switch on and took off towards the trail leading to the forest below. As he pulled to a stop before descending into the half-lit awakening trees, Kage noticed a ripple shaking its way through the trees and a huge column of smoke in the distance.
'OH SHI…' Was his last thought as man and vehicle were thrown backwards through the air, with the HSV somehow managing to land on its wheels, causing him to wince at the screech and whump of destroyed suspension.
"Well, there's a reason I named you Lady Luck wasn't there?" Vision focusing on scanning the HUD displayed in the corner of his augmented vision for a damage report and sighing in relief when the only thing that popped up was the fact that his suspension was shot… Again…
"Aaand there goes half of this bounty's pay." Grumbling as he gunned it towards the column of smoke in the distance "Hopefully I'll find something worth selling to Forge back in town…"
One Driving Montage Later…
Screeching to a halt a the top of a massive impact crater he scans the wreckage of what was obviously a space-faring transport of some kind.
"Wait a sec. Ricochet, that's the Rogue Trader isn't it?"
Hearing a metallic snoring coming from aft, Kage swears under his breath and slips to the back. Moments later, crashes, mechanical screaming, primal roars, and enough swearing to make a group of sailors blush can be heard echoing throughout the crater and the surrounding blackened land.
"Finally get your shiny ass fully charged Rico?" Kage asked his long time companion and friend after they had both calmed down.
"Enthusiastic declaration: Yes boss. Was about to power up fully and check what that anomaly I detected earlier was."
"All you have to do is get up into the pod and start blasting the guys that got here ahead of us. The Rogue Trader cratered near us while you were charging. We're checking if the bastard was hauling anything I can have Forge upgrade or front for us."
"Statement: Yes boss. Query: Standard loadout?"
Kage sighed, "Yes Rico, you can go overkill."
"Statement of fact: But boss, there is no such thing as overkill, there is only open fire and reload"
"Shut up and get in there… Hey, Mom, what's the status of that ship?"
An extremely warm and motherly voice belonging to the HSV's A.I, which he had named after his mother and programmed to be like his mother after she had died, radiated from the speaker in the headrest of his command chair.
"Well, I think its fairly obvious honey, it crashed and burned leaving no survivors, cargo area looks intact, though the bow looks completely destroyed… Correction, One survivor, scans indicate female, unknown species, possibly human, unknown dormant power resides inside of her, unknown if mutant, unknown political affiliation, unknown origin. Location: Bay 38, Hold 3, Starboard side. Further scans indicate that if medical attention is not received within approximately forty-five minutes, she will succumb to her injuries. Recommendation: Transport to nearest medical facility with full Nano bay after placing her inside of empty stasis pod."
Muttering something about A.I.s with dual personalities under his breath, Kage jumped into his command chair and took off towards the ship with the shriek of protesting gears.
"Ricochet! Pop the drones and have them throw up a barrier around the Rogue Trader! Ill send you back with Raven in the Last Chance. Blow everything that's not us or the ship away."
"Joyous compliance: YES BOSS! You know how to make this unit happy boss!"
Careening down the steep slope at the mercenaries, looters, bodyguards, and scrappers, Kage bellowed, "HONOR, FIRE, AND BONE! FOR THE EMPEROR!" Without even realizing what he was saying, or that he had accidentally turned the Lady's comm unit to broadcast.
15 miles from Damnosian high orbit: 1600 DSNHC (Damnos Space Navy High Command) Headquarters local time, 1000 Kage Drakesong Local time
A hole alive with every color imaginable leaping and dancing throughout it shredded its way into the star-speckled backdrop of space, vomiting a heavily mauled Strike class cruiser painted in a black darker than the blackest night with a white dragon upon it from the warp and faded out of existence, only to be remembered by two more even larger ones ripping and tearing their way into existence and flinging five more ships into existence. One was a full Battle Barge class battleship, bristling with an insane amount of firepower. Her name was somehow able to be read through the massive gashes, dents, and general battle-damage that scarred the once beautiful hull of the ship once known as Angon's Wrath. She was covered in giant runes and iconography hundreds of feet across, painted on using the blood of millions and searing the eye when looked at. The other four were a badly patched together Vengeance class Grand Cruiser once known as the Carolus, two rust covered and decaying Nova class frigates known long ago as the Rex and Regi, and a Gladius frigate that looked like it should have been scrapped thousands of years ago known as the Rebellis before being given into the service of Grandfather Nurgle. Upon stabilizing in existence, they all opened fire upon one another in a total annihilation protocol, not even caring if they fired at friendly forces or not. During their mutual destruction, the heavily damaged Strike cruiser and Battle Barge spewed landing craft of all kinds.
Thankfully, one Fire Raptor class gunship and two Thunderhawk class gunships made it down to Damnos from the black painted cruiser, while sadly several drop pods and three Caestus Assault Rams avoided the field of flashing vaporization and death, dropping away from the Battle Barge. Landing on the strange planet, the forces from the now obliterated black Strike cruiser sighed in relief after hearing "HONOR, FIRE, AND BONE! FOR THE EMPEROR!" rasp through the speaker grill of their slightly damaged vox system. Quickly starting to unpack the arms and armor that they had managed to load onto the two Thunderhawks.
"Brother Nox! I want you and Brother Falcor on overwatch and recon. suit up in your choice of Terminator armor. I will take the Centurion armor." A voice broadcast over the squad's tactical vox-net.
"Yes Brother-Sergeant Grimnost. It shall be as you ask." Nox and Falcor replied as one of the surviving techmarines started to lock them into two of the six Terminator armors that they had managed to save from their ship's depressingly beautiful death.
Nox chose a suit that was of a mysterious twilight grey color, and was armed with dual chainfists and had a heavily tweaked personal teleporter pack equipped. Falcor chose a suit colored in an obsidian shade, which was armed with what looked like a huge cannon, but was really a tank grade las-cannon someone had managed to strip off of said vehicle and turn into a terminator portable weapon. As soon as the two were armored up and the rituals of activation completed, they set off towards a road they had spied as they landed.
Impact crater, Rogue Trader crash site: 1001 Kage Drakesong Local time
As Kage sent the Lady Luck screaming down into the crater, Ricochet opened up in the topside turret, spewing flames and shells around at everything he saw, living, dead, it mattered not to him, he was fulfilling his programming. Mayhem. Destruction. Bloodshed. Chaos. Delicious things for the droid.
When people saw the grinning assassin droid in the turret, the blood-red stripes on silver paint, and the fact that the mercs they had hired to keep away uninvited guests were already half gone, either screaming into the decimated wilderness around them, or lying on the ground dead or dying, they bellowed and hollered for reinforcements, but word had already spread that "The Silver Reaper" was on the job site, most people fled. Though it did take them nearly a half hour to drive everyone off and sweep the area to make sure they had actually left for good.
"How you holding up in there Rico?" came the faint call from the front of the Lady Luck.
"Confident Statement: Just fine boss, plenty of ammo for round twenty if needed. Auxiliary tanks for the heavy flamers are at 72% full, the Mains are at 100%. Still have 4,712 shells for the twin heavies, and a little over 20,000 for the quad-linked subs."
"Alright Rico. Did you get those shield drones out?"
"Resigned Sigh: Yes boss, got those out before I started turning everyone into torches."
"Good man. Probably get you that upgrade you've wanted so bad when all of this bullshit is done."
Impact crater, Rogue Trader crash site: 1032 Kage Drakesong local time
Kage Drakesong slammed open the aft hatch on his HSV and sprinted out, towing a stasis pod behind him, not caring if Rico was actually on overwatch keeping an eye on the last of the idiots that stayed to fight "The Silver Reaper" as he was called in whispered voices when talked about in bars and smuggling rings. Not caring about anything but his objective: Getting whoever was still alive in that ship into a pod, and to a medic.
"Mom. How much time left?" Kage grunted through his throat mike.
"Thirteen minutes until she expires from her injuries. Scanning indicates that due to shifting of wreckage, you will reach her location in twenty. This course of action is foolish honey, you wont be able to reach her in time."
"Thanks for that last tidbit, Mom. I just have to get there faster than that then, and ill give myself to the Time-Shifter before I fail to save someone right in front of me."
"Statement of truth: Wishful thinking boss, it is impossible."
"You know mom, Rico? In the past nineteen years that I've been alive, there have been multiple times where I have been too stubborn and ignorant to know something was impossible before I went and did it anyway, I see no reason to jeopardize that success today. Shut up you two."
"As you wish honey…" Cleo sighed sadly
"Resigned sigh: Yes boss."
Kage kept muttering about damned A.I.s with dual personalities again as he sprinted through the ship towards the waiting, dying girl.
700 meters under DSNHC Headquarters: 1632 Local time
"Idontknowwheretheycamefromsirtheyjustappearedoutofnowhere!" screamed a scared shitless scientist, nearly pissing in his pants as the nearly eight foot tall giant of a Commodore codenamed "Odin" pinned him to the wall with one hand and lit a massive cigar with the other.
"I don't care. Just find out if anything survived. And if so, tell me where they landed." Odin thundered to the frantic scientists and military personnel as the rushed around, trying to avoid the fate of their unlucky colleague hanging pinned to the wall.
"Commodore Odin! We have the landing site of the larger force! They landed in the Northern Wastes! Sector: Berkano, Zone: Sowiloh-Nauthiz, Subsector: Odal. We lost tracking on the smaller force upon their atmospheric entry and have not been able to reacquire a lock due to electromagnetic disturbance of a recent wreck in that area.."
"Dispatch the Overlord and Helios Lances of the Thundercutters to the Northern Wastes. Give them the Hydra and Griffin Lances from the Mythos Gunners as backup. See if you can cut a deal with Frost. I want them contained! But do not engage unless attacked! As for the smaller force... I think my nephew might be in that area." Growled Odin as his head was shrouded in the smoke from his cigar. 'I got some calls to make,' was his only thought as he released the nearly asphyxiated scientist to crumple to the ground panting and strode towards his massive desk.
Corridor, Hold 3, Starboard, Outside bay 38, Rogue Trader wreckage, Rogue Trader crash site: 1040 Kage Drakesong Local time
"Great Pit take this goddamn wreck!" Kage screamed in frustration as he struggled to get the pod to the survivor in time. "Damnit! I won't fail like last time!" He screamed as he saw that the door was blocked shut by burst cargo pods and wreckage, and his hands started to glow. "What?" there was a hiss, and his eyes widened as he stared at his hands. Moments later, there was a gaping hole with glowing edges where the blockage used to be and the door was clear. Kage whistled, "Didn't know I could do that…" "HOW MUCH TIME LEFT MOM!?"
"Three minutes and forty-four seconds honey. Opening pod…Pod open...Hurry..."
Kage sprinted through the still smoldering hole in the blast door. Gently, he lifted the girl up in a bridal carry and walked with her towards the pod.
'Definitely looks human enough, and kinda cute… FOCUS!' He thought as he carefully set her inside the pod and activated it. 'And now comes the fun part...' He thought as he rushed the pod to the Lady Luck, stowed it, and proceeded like the Tazmanian Devil on crack, speed, and ten gallons of energy drink to find a Nano bay equipped facility, all thoughts of profits and bounties gone from his mind.
Khornate main camp, Location: Northern Wastes, Sector: Berkano, Zone: Sowiloh-Nauthiz, Subsector: Odal
Khârn the Betrayer looked out over what was left of his warband. A handful of berserkers, five or six squads of Chaos Marines. One Rhino Transport, three Land Raider Tanks, one lone Vindicator siege tank, and four or five Predator tanks. The odd Dreadnought here and there. A couple squads of Traitor Guard and their vehicles corrupted during the slaughter of Mephisto IV. And finally his eyes settled on his most prized possessions, Ten almost new Brass Scorpions. "Soon this world shall fall and be added to the lake of blood." He grated, His voice filled with barely checked insanity.
"YOU! With the axe! Why have you come to our world?" He hears being shouted from somewhere behind him.
Turning around, he laughed disconcertingly at the group of mechs standing there in the snow. "To Slaughter and conquer! Why else?" He retorted angrily, his fingers twitching excitedly on the activation trigger of his chain-axe, causing it to leap expectantly in his hand.
"SURRENDER NOW AND YOU MAY..." Shouted the voice, only to be cut off as Khârn waved his free hand forward, causing one of the Predator tanks to unleash a volley from its Anti-vehicle las-cannon mounted on said vehicles main turret, silencing the driver of the Summoner Pattern mech forever with a well placed shit to its cockpit.
"Surrender? We are Khorn's chosen! We never surrender! BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!" He responded to the aborted ultimatum, charging towards the mechs, his berserkers following shortly behind him, and the rest of his warband following swiftly behind them, screaming blood-curdling war-cries and causing the ground to shake with the thunderous sound of ceramite clad boots and heavy tank treads raising a cloud of finely powdered snow and ice.
Main Road, Five miles away from Rouge Trader impact crater
"Brother Grimnost, we have what appears to be some kind of medium attack vehicle approaching. It is being pursed by a group of, for lack of a better word, Pirates, and is being engaged by them. While it is returning fire, it appears to be heavily damaged, and will be overrun soon if not assisted. Do we remain hidden? Or assist?" Voxed Nox as Falcor chacked the power level on his las-cannon.
"Colors of pursued vehicle?" Replied Grimnost as he watched the offload of the last few pieces of equipment from inside his centurion armor.
"Silver with Red diagonal stripes mid vehicle on the sides. Unknown vehicle pattern..." Nox trailed off and watched as the vehicle swerved to avoid a missile blast, but had one of its front wheels shot off and was sent tumbling front over aft, finally coming to somehow rest right side up, and his eyes widened as a hulking figure popped out of a hatch on the top, quickly followed by some kind of droid and opened fire on their pursuers.
"Fuck off damn mercs! FIRE AND BONE!"
"Pursued party has used the chapter call. Vehicle has been rendered unmovable, moving to assist pursued party."
"Granted brother, good hunting."
"Come on Falcor! Lets get moving!"
"Aye brother. Right behind you."
As the two rushed forward from the trees to help, Kage and Ricochet were ducking into cover on the sheltered side of the Lady.
"Resigned statement: Well shit boss, this sucks."
"You said it Rico, But we gotta get her to a med bay!"
Suddenly the pair hear a HISS-CRACK sound followed by a loud explosion, followed by an even louder CRACK and then incredibly, what sounds like six chainsaws revving at the same time. A few seconds later, a hulking figure steps into their field of view and launches a massive laser in the direction of the mercs that were chasing them.
"You two going to help us out here? It is your fight if I recall correctly." Booms a voice over a pair of external speakers.
"AYE! FIRE AND BONE!" Shouts Kage as he recovers from his shock, leaps forward into the open, and opens up on the mercs with his two-man plasma cannon that looks like a toy in his hands as Rico takes this opportunity to climb back into the somehow still working turret on top of the Lady and opens up on the mercs as well.
"FIRE AND BONE!" Booms back the hulking, armored figure as he looses another massive beam that finds a sweet spot in the armor of an enemy Diamondhead hovertank, sending it sailing skyward in a lazy corkscrew as the beam hits something vital and very is apparently the last straw for the mercs, as they break and run in every direction except towards the hulking figure with the really, really big gun. Plasma cannons, seen it. Chainsaw hands, scary, but cool. Giant shoulder-mounted cannon? Fuck this!
"I am Battle-Brother Nox." Booms the grey armored figure with the chainsaws mounted to its hands.
"I am Battle-Brother Falcor." Adds the other armored figure, leaning on his las-cannon.
"You know the Tech-priests are going to bust a cog if they see you doing that Brother." Says Nox, shaking his head slowly.
"Frack the Emperor-forsaken Tech-preists."
"Neutral Statement: I believe we should introduce ourselves to the amazingly destructive meatbags boss." Says Ricochet in what he thinks is a whisper from up in his turret. Which needless to say, is not.
"And you can also tell us how you know our chapter call." Adds Nox, taking a slightly menacing step forward.
"I am Kage Drakesong, Son of Drake Ragesong, Warchief of the Warsong Clan. Son of Cleo Farseer. Bearer of the Dragon's Blood." Says Kage, his grey eyes turning gold with vertical black pupils for a few seconds as he says this, before turning back into a dull grey with a normal pupil.
The changing of his eyes does not go unnoticed by the two Black Dragons and they look at eachother before looking back at Kage.
"Statement of Truth: I am Ricochet, Assassin Droid designation HK-406" Nods Rico as he climbs down from his perch in the turret.
"Well met and well fought. Do you have any injured crew aboard your vehicle? We have an operational medbay aboard one of our ships and an apothecary trained to use it." Says Nox, looking at the badly damaged Lady.
"Aye. One. Not crew though, rescued her from that wreck five miles back. Got her in a stasis pod until I could get her to a med-lab. Reminds me, Rico, call in Raven and the Last Chance, You and her are on salvage duty. Comb it for anything useful that we can get to Forge. Have her bring some techs and recover the Lady as well. I've sunk too much effort into her to let her rot here. Have Raven meet you here. Im going to grab the stasis pod and follow these fellows."
"Affirmative Reply: Yes Boss, Be careful."
"No promises Rico." He said as he turned back towards Nox and Falcor. "I'll be right with you. Let me go grab her."
A few minutes later, as Nox, Falcor, and Kage were backtracking the rout he two space marines had take to get to the road, Kage felt a tickle on his collar bone. Pressing a finger to his ear, he activated his comms set. "This is Reaper, go." He said, causing the two super-warriors to tense up and prepare for an ambush.
"Reaper, this is Odin, we've had two forces break through the defense screen after their main ships destroyed each other after appearing outside high orbit. First, larger force is confirmed hostile. Damned thing took out four full lances in a matter of minutes. Reinforcements are on their way but they may already have moved."
"Location on confirmed hostiles?"
"Frozen Wastes up north. Frost Wolf Clan territory."
"That should keep em busy until we can shuffle more forces up there."
"We believe a the second, smaller force landed near you, but we lost tracking due to their entry and could not regain due to interference from a wreck near your position."
"I'm pretty sure I met your missing force then. Mercs had me and Rico pinned. They charged in guns blazing after I shouted the clan call. Just two of them took out fifty or so mercs before the mercs cut and run. I'd classify them as friendly for now. If not that, then neutral."
By now, Nox and Falcor's intrest and been peaked so Nox cut in. "Kage, who is that you are speaking to?"
"One of my warmasters. one sec." After a few seconds of muttering and fiddling with a dial and nothing happening, Kage grunts with frustration and smacks it with the palm of his hand, causing Odin's voice to be projected out of a small speaker on Kage's belt.
"Anyway, as I was saying, This is one of my Warmasters, Odin Bloodsong. Odin, I am currently with two of the smaller force and headed to get a survivor of the wreck healed. After that, I'll see if they want to hole up in the Stronghold."
"What are the colors of this larger force, If i may be so bold, Warmaster Bloodsong?" Asks Falcor, finally turning down the volume of his speakers.
"Red and gold are the most prominent, with a bronze Rune that is reported to hurt eyes when looked at directly."
"EMPORER-FORSAKEN KHORNATES! THEY SHALL PAY FOR THE DESTRUCTION OF HOLY TERRA!" Booms Nox, the sheer volume making Kages teeth rattle in their sockets.
"Definitely class these guys as friendlies Odin. I get a feeling we're going to need them." Starting to move forward again after shutting his comms system off, Kage calls to the two warriors. "After we get her healed, I'll take you and your boys to my clan stronghold. There we can start laying out plans."
"Aye Kage. Lets be about our business."
A few minutes of running later, the three arrive to see a full fledged slugfest going on between the rest of the space marines and what could only be warriors from Kage's clan, since they were about the same size as the space marines.
"WAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHRRRRGGG!" And just like that, all participants froze in mid swing, kick, bite, or whatever they were doing as they heard Kage's roar of anger. "Now that I have your attention, could one of you please tell me whats going on?" Says Kage in a deceptively calm and frosty voice, making his warriors shake a bit in fear as hey see their Warchief's eyes turn a molten gold color.
"We were watching them, seeing what their intentions were, when the big blue one threw one of those tech-boys at Grimm over there." Shouts a voice from somewhere in the middle of the former brawl. "And then Grimm picked him up and threw him back" called another voice from somewhere else in the tangle of bodies.
"GRIMM! HAUL ASS TO THE BIG BLUE ONE AND OFFER HIM A BOUT IN THE RING OF HONOR! THROW THE MATCH AND YE KNOW WHAT HAPPENS! THEY ARE POTENTIAL ALLIES AND WILL BE TREATED AS SUCH! DIRGE! YE BE JUDGE!" turning to the two terminators on either side of him, Kage asks, "So, where is this apothecary you were speaking of?" Shaking their heads gently and laughing their asses off, the two quickly lead Kage and the stasis pod towards one of the gunships. Stopping briefly to let a Laser Destroyer Variant of the Vindicator Siege Tank rumble by, they then strode up the ramp into the nearly fully emptied cargo bay and walked over to where a white and red armored figure sat with her back to the wall.
"Sister Kathleen, where is Apothecary Bjorn?" Asks a slightly worried Nox after he takes off his helm and bows, Falcor following suit shortly after.
"Dead, Brother Nox. He died ten twenty seven minutes ago from mortal wounds sustained while repelling Nurgle boarders before we made it into the immaterium of the warp. I thought I had healed him, but apparently not. Now, we have no hope to continute the legacy of the Imperium..." She then spied Kage checking the mysterious girl's vitals on a screen on the stasis pod. "However, there is a way to... transfer... the skills of Bjorn to a willing subject..." Standing up, Sister Kathleen, last member of the Ordo Hospitallar, walked over to Kage. "Great Warchief of the Warsong Clan, you have come here to save a life. The one who could have saved her life is gone, and my skills are not nearly enough to heal her fully. Mighty son of great warriors past, are you willing to take up the mantle of healer, as well as warrior? Are you willing to take up the skull topped caduceus of the Apothecary?"
Nox and Falcor could only stare in shock as Sister Kathleen offered what was considered one of the most holy of duties to one who had no knowledge of what it entailed. Much less to one who they had just met! They were about to be even more shocked by his answer.
"I do. I may be a warrior, I may have killed in almost every day of my life so far, but I also know the value of life. My people dwindle every day because our shamans cannot keep up with the constant call to the surgery tables in our Stronghold. If I may serve my people better, then allow me to don this additional mantle, and help to fill this empty space. I swear on my honor and by extension, my life, to play this part with all that I am able."
"Then lay atop the table there, and let us begin. The process will be long, and painful, but the reward is great."
"I will bear any pain to help my people. Begin the process Sister."
AN: Hey guys. Re-write of My first fic, so please be patient with me, I hope it goes as well as the voices tell me it will, as I'm pulling from several things to create this. Kage, Ricochet (Designation HK-406 (got the idea from HK-47)), Nox, Grimnost, Falcor, and Cleo are my OCs. The world of Damnos is mine as well, though feel free to use it if you want, as it does need mucho fleshing out as I've only got basic info for it hashed out. Review please! Tips are welcomed. Flames and rants will be flushed with what I had for breakfast. Constructive criticism will be accepted.
