The wind through her hair, as she sped through the streets of DC, felt like heaven to her, like a much needed release from everyday life.

Pressing her foot down, she sped up, going faster and faster, as she weaved through the traffic at top speed.

She was on Mossad mode, and nothing was going to get in her way, she needed release, she needed the rush that she got when she rode fast, the thrill of being on the edge.

Through the tears blurring her vision she never saw the lorry come out from around the corner.

Bang! Crash! Smash !

She stand a chance against it, so she was thrown across the street, and landing in a heap.

Ziva David lay in the road, her helmet smashed, and her bike crumpled, as her body lay motionless.

It was six hours later when she got out of surgery, she lay in a pristine white room, with Jethro Gibbs by her side.

They only allowed one person in her room at a time, and he had wanted, no, he had needed to see her.

The silver-headed agent sat beside her bed, with her hand in his, silently pleading her to wake up.

Soon enough, he had to go, but as he pressed a soft kiss to the Israeli's forehead, she smiled, and slowly opened her eyes.

"Your awake", he stated with a grin.

She smiled, then it faded, "Your going?"

He nodded, "I'll stay if you want me to"

She shook her head, "If you don't want to stay, I won't keep you"

He smiled, and sat down on her bed, "Of course I want to stay"

She smiled, "Then stay"

He lay beside her with a smile, "You sure?"

She nodded, snuggling up to his side, still heavily dosed up with medication, she murmured, "I love you, Jethro"

He grinned, "I love you too Zee" he said as he lent down softly kissing her lips.

She moved towards him, laying half across him, kissing him, and he smirked, "You've just woken up and you already want my body" he said with a chuckle.

She slapped his arm, jokingly, and smiled, leaning her head on his chest, "I've always wanted it"

He held her close, and kissed her head, "When your better"

She fell back to sleep in his arms, feeling safer than she had ever been before, and he fell asleep soon after, feeling more at peace with himself.

When the nurse came into to tell them that visiting hours were up, she simply smiled and shut the door again, and dismissed the other visitors telling them, that they had fallen asleep, she smirked with a knowing look, that she knew the minute she set eyes on the pair that they were more than just work colleagues.
