Disclaimer: J. K. Rowling thinks she owns Harry Potter. A businessman on Gudrun thought he owned the stars. I am free of both illusions. (Sergey Nazarov, however, does, I think, own the camera with which the cover image was taken.)

I saw the Lion's Heart the other night.
Leaning against the window near my bed,
I saw the stars of winter's sky outspread,
Defying dark and cold with fiery light.
And just above the treetops, bluish-white,
Alpha Leonis shone – Kabelaced –
The star that, as Professor Draper said,
Means lion's grace and courage, regal might.

I don't suppose Great-Grandma ever knew,
Or she'd have named Great-Uncle Regulus
From quite another region of the chart.
But, willed she, nilled she, what she said was true;
He may not have been Sorted one of us,
But in him shone a very Lion's Heart.
